"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I don't have the option of going to the gym whenever I want. What if I ate right, and work up until I can do 100 pushups and situps evernight and then just do that? I know its not as advanced as going to the gym all the time, but I don't like working out and I think this would hold my interest for awhile.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Pushups, situps, pullups, you can switch these up to work out lots of you.

Do plyometrics for your legs, too.

examples: pushups, diamond pushups, pushups with one hand, clap pushups, knuckle pushups.

Situps, situps with your legs up, crunches, leg raises, situps with left/right elbow movement to touch the knee, same with your legs up, holding your legs out straight about 3 inches above the ground.

pullups, chinups, wide grip/close ground/shoulder width of the 2 basic exercises, knee raises while you're hanging lift them to the chest, monkey bar movement about.

Lunges, squats, jumps, jump and reach for the sky, jump and lift your legs up to your chest.

Also, get a skipping rope. Helps loads.

You can get pretty fit from the above.
You'd have to do a lot, and add weight to your exercises after a while, after you've built up to a certain amount of reps.

I won't tell you reps, just do more than you did the previous day, change the exercises about with the examples i gave.

Thats alot like my workout right now. Ill have no access to a gym untill september so Im doing a bodyweight exercise and cut thing all summer. Im hoping to lose 25 lbs.

Doing as many pushups/sittups as you can is great, but dont forget legs. Try doing as many consecutive body squats as you can. It burns but youll learn to love it.

I really recommend the gym, though...3 times a week is all you need...you can only vary your routine so much using your own bodyweight for resistance...and, you need to work your legs...women love a nice, tight ass on a man.
As I'm aware bodyfat is not lost from any particular area that you're working out. as far as I acn tell working your legs would just make your ass bigger.:moon:

If you are actually active, you don't even need to do any of that.

Like if you play soccer, basketball, squash, tennis, rugby, ect. That will keep you more fit then any of that. You can jog too.

I rollerblade roughly 4-5h a week, and I hope on being able to pick up basketball again. Sure, I try and make an effort to go to the gym, but being active is more than enough. It's all about being active.

Oh yeah, swimming is really good too.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

...and train heavy and with intensity
Keyword, heavy. Granted there are times when you need "active rest" aka light days, but heavy is the way to go. It'll be difficult for you to gain much mass through pushups and such. Sure, you'll see some gains for a little bit, but until you can add weight on to that, you won't see much.

it takes a LOT of freaking reps and hard work to grow legs exceptionally big...

A lot of reps? Maybe, maybe not. It depends on the type of workouts you do. Heavy squats with mid-range reps yeild incredible results. I remember when I started getting heavy with my squats, about 2-3 months afterwords my thighs had grown about 2 inches. I still have chicken legs, but there was a lot more muscle definition and size...I usually keep my reps between 3-8.

With proper diet, you can lose weight and build muscle in the same span. Since muscle is more dense and takes up less room than fat, if you lost the fat from your butt and grew some glute muscles, you could see your ass get smaller. Example, if you look at bodybuilders, they have extremely small butts during contest. I would never cut down that much nor get that large, but there is much to be said for getting a muscular butt. Especially when you got a girl that likes to cop a feel.

Totally agree with most of this but from what I've been told by trainers, muscle does not REPLACE fat. Fat is metabolised and muscle is gained. If you want a muscular ass, so be it. However if you want a SMALL ass, you'd best use diet and exercise to lower energy intake/metabolise fat, and NOT work out glutes, legs, and whatever else that contributes to ass. On the other hand if you're saying that bigger glutes could make your ass look fitter (cause fat is deposited below the glutes generally) then I can also see how that might work.

why the hell would you not want a decent sized ass? women dig that!

btw to answer the original question, push-ups and sit-ups do help, but only for a while, pushups will stop being effective quite fast, while sit ups dont really help if you dont have around 10% body fat.

The military has used pushups/situps/2 mi run for a long time. If you are trying to look like a body builder, weights and good diet are necessary. But if you only want to build overall fitness, you can do it w/o weights. Do the pushups slowly and correctly, almost touching your chest to the ground. And don't pull too hard on the back of your head when doing situps; it can cause neck injury.

Also, outside work like push-mowing, weed-eating, and garden tilling are all good workouts. Weights can also be improvised - you are only limited by your creativity. A guy from my hs football team would take his kid brother's little red wagon, fill it with rocks, attach it by a rope to a weight belt around his waist, and then go walk up and down the steepest hill he could find. By the end of the summer he had giant legs, and he made all-conference that year as a running back.

Doing pushups and situps will NOT do much for you... If you cannot goto the gym, add pullups chin ups, squat thrusts, but you will most likely not get the workout you need.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
