"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Ehhh so I have a gf for about 3 months, thanks to my time at the gym and sosuave. I am just wondering if I should push-pull in an LTR too? Does the emotional roller coaster ride apply here too?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

The emotional roller coaster strategy doesn't apply anywhere. It ESPECIALLY sucks for LTRs, unless the chick happens to be a mental wreck, in which case she isn't LTR material anyway.

See, most people's lives are already emotional roller coasters, and most of the time they have more downs than ups. There are different downs for different "stages of life", and most of the time these downs are minor overall, but the point is that the downs are always there. Any mentally healthy person (including a woman) would naturally want to add more UPS to his/her life. A quality, fulfilling relationship is a good way to do that.

Let's face it: most of us know (or at least see) MANY more couples that are HAPPY with each other and have a mostly healthy relationship than couples where the woman is abused but still stays with the man, and these relationships where BOTH partners are happy (*gasp*) often last for a considerable amount of time and can eventually lead to a lasting marriage. This is because their relationship is an UP in a world where we experience many DOWNS, even if they aren't all major downs. It's a source of HAPPINESS and makes them feel GOOD. And you know what? Even though I'll admit that women are kinda ****ed up, you can't say that any mentally and emotionally healthy woman would opt for misery and degredation over happiness.

So yeah, if you *try* to make a relationship into an emotional rollercoaster, you're essentially trying to destroy it. A relationship is a dynamic entity - it will have ups and downs anyway. Rather than trying to influence its natural dynamics because of some misconceived notion about ERs, just try to draw as much pleasure and enjoyment from the relationship as you can, because if you have a quality girl, I can guarantee you she is also trying to get as much GOOD out of the relationship as she can.

Oh yeah, I forgot to talk about one night stands. Some people may be inclined to argue that emotional roller coaster tactics work well for getting laid. However, something that these people fail to realize is that, while they *think* that their success was because they gave the chick an emotional roller coaster ride, what actually tipped the scales in their favour was that the chicks viewed them as alpha males, and thus got horny. See, it's entirely possible to be a bipolar AFC and give a girl an emotional roller coaster ride. However, the bipolar AFC will not get laid for this because he is not an alpha male. He will not trigger a chick's instinctive desire to spread her legs for a real man, because he is not a real man; he's an AFC.

See the difference?
