I have a female friend that said when she went out on a a date with a guy, a walk around the park. I think it was on a Friday night. At the end of that date, he asked her if she wanted to do Sunday brunch with.

Now, even though she had time and nothing else better to do that weekend, she purposely refused to do it on Sunday, because she thought it was "too soon" between the first date (Friday) and Sunday.

I was like "Huh? Why?!" She said she likes to give dating intervals some time between dates because otherwise it's moving too fast (for her.)

I rolled my eyes, and said, "Cripes, no wonder you're still single. lol" (She's in her 50s, never married, no kids).

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

agreed. she has some issues.

She has a man who enjoys her company enough to try and set a second date bfore the first ends. Furthermore, he really enjoys her company so much that he wants to see her in a matter of days. And she says no? She's lost men because, during that prescribed dating interval down time, these fellas are finding, pursuing and bedding other options who value a mans interest.

Ask her if she wants a cat for her birthday :)

A guy who is spinning plates and has options will see this as lack of interest and next her.

Tell her to quit playing stupid games. You coined it perfectly "no wonder you are still single."
