"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Purpose of Life - Seeking Long Term Happiness

Talked to a person on PM the other day and I asked him about how to find long term happiness. It turned out to be that I need to think this through and find the true value by myself. He suggested that the only way i can be happy steadily is when I realize I don't need girls to be happy.

So I thought hard about this but I confused myself even more because I have no idea how I can achieve long term happiness. Isn't the purpose of life to be happy? Forget about flirting, kino, playing with women for a sec, and I need to know how I can get true happiness. I can be shortly happy by getting female attention or get good grades in school but I do not have stability in the long run.

This is a big issue in my life

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

You need to read these threads:

joekerr's thread about self-love

Pook's A Second Life

Those threads, which are well worth the read, and I recommend you take some time and read them. They contain the long answer you are looking for. The short answer I can give you right now: to achieve long term happiness, develop and follow your passions, dreams, and goals in life. Let nothing stop you on your journey. No woman, no friends, no professors, no family, etc.

And that person in PM is right. You have to be content, long term and not just today right now, by yourself. And by your complete self meaning without any friends. I'm not saying abandon your friends and go live as a hermit. What I'm saying is you must become self reliable enough to share life with your friends and not build your life around friends.

Be happy single. You never know what tomorrow holds in store for you. You could be sent off to war and get killed. Live your life in such a way that at the end of each night, you can close your eyes and say to yourself, "If I don't wake up tomorrow morning, then at least I'll be glad that I died happy." I know it sounds little mournful but you must understand the point I'm making.

You've got one life to live. Might as well make the most of it.

This is a big issue in my life
ADJ, it's everyone's 'Big Issue' in their life.

It is actually your ONLY REAL Issue in your life.

And you have Death knocking at your door to get you honest, clear, and motivated fast.......real fast....

Your entire paradigm is shifting, ADJ.

Be grateful that this is happening to you NOW, when you're young.

You have your whole life ahead of you.

Yet who knows how LONG you will live?

ADJ, knowing that, how can you afford to be distracted by petty things???

A guy said something offensive about you , in front of others???

Big Deal.

You have a Life to live, a Mission to accomplish, interests and hobbies to pursue...
you simply have NO time to waste on this pettiness.

Do you see?

Those things are meaningless!!!!

"what will they think of me???!"

Truthfully, don't even bother 'worrying' about it. Not anymore.

Becaues now you have a broader perspective, and now you truly appreciate your life, and the opportunities you have before you.

Some people motivate themselves by having 'Death as their Advisor'.

Think about that for a while....

There is a greek word for a type of happiness called "eudomonia". This isn't just good-mood type happiness. it isn't fleeting. It's the type of happiness and well-being that follows a person throughout their life. According to Pope, the only way to achieve it is by living a life of virtue and purpose.

“The 22 Psychological Triggers That Make Women Chase You… Starting Tonight”

Forget the cash, the cars, and the chiseled jawlines. Female desire operates on a completely different frequency. Primal. Subconscious. Triggers that bypass her logic and hit her on a gut level. Most guys are totally blind to them.

I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Then I decoded the psychology behind what actually makes women tick. 22 hard rules.  Subtle behavioral shifts that rewired my entire reality. The anxiety evaporated. Women started leaning in. Investing. Chasing.

The purpose of life is to live not "be happy"

When you realize that happiness is unnecessary you will be much happier.

The pursuit of constant happiness can only lead to depression.

Happiness is a short term feeling by design to keep us improving.

You need CONSISTENCY bro. IMHO, life is not one thing that will bring you happiness, it's a set of principles, guidelines, morals that you follow everyday so you can lead a fuller, happier, and healthier life.

All the things in life that you think will bring you happiness are only short term solutions. That's why so many people on here never succeed when they say "if only" I had a girlfriend, "if only" I had a well paying job, "if only I was 6'1". This never works because as soon as one of them is solved, the next excuse or problem comes up. That's why becoming a DJ is a process that involves plenty of work. Rome wasn't built in a day and Donald Trump built his fortune over 20+ years through alot of hard work.

Keep at it bro, you can do it!!

My 2 cents

I know it may sound kind of negative but in a way, it is what makes sense to me.

What is the meaning of life? If we do know that, it wouldn't be an age old question passed down from Aristotle. As I'm going through the book "The Power of Now", i started to realize something.

All that we are is an entity that just somehow exists, we came to this world empty handed and we let others dictate what would make us happy. Truth of the matter is, there is no purpose in life. There really isn't. You came to this world as an empty sheet of paper. Anything that is in your experience and observation become ink inside your head. You will leave this world empty handed. So, all the frustration, all the needs, worries, everything... is a direct result of what the world tells us we must have. But once we have it, they become meaningless even after we die. Because once we leave this "Matrix" we called life, we can't take a damn thing with us.

The only thing that is real is really now. Everything that you see before you is not real. They're all illusions. It's like some sick joke and we are the puppets that's placed into a train we called life. We don't know where we're really going and we don't even know how we got here. We just know that we are here and we woke up one morning thinking to ourselves, wtf am I doing here?

Well, there is no purpose. But let me tell you something. Since we know that there is no purpose and that there's no point in life, we might as well give up right? HELL NO!!!. We laugh back at life and create our own purpose!
The best thing about this Matrix is that we are given a choice.

This is what living is. You can choose at anytime, any hour, any minute how you want to manage your time while you have your rental body to do your work.

As Neo said, "It all boils down to choice". You have many choices. Either to live a full life or to give up and wait for fate to deal you the cards that he doesn't want.

After some thinking, I finally nailed it. I know what to do next!!!!

I've seen it... I know it now!!!

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

That's not right! Life isn't all about money and women, for me it's about achieving long term goals and living your life that you want to live

But I would bet the bank that you have problems galore.

Yeah, that virtue and purpose is what most of us are missing, isn't it?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I know a guy named Tony. A guy I met through a friend of mine. The kid (he's 20) has issues. But his problem is the single reason why most people don't get it.

first of all, for the problems that he has, he has some unique talents; he's an excellent and I mean EXCELLENT gutarist. He also speaks fluent italain.. not very many 20 year olds can speak italian.

He has extremely low self esteem. He goes into these funks.. and I mean that literarly, where he won't take baths, wont' wash clothes, won't brush his teeth. all he cares about is how everyone doesn't like him.

I talk to him, he asks me questions. Anything. it can be holw do you make fried chicken, and I can say "man you gotta throw the chicken in the mud first.." and he will say "yeah man.. that's cool"...

it's not he's not listening. I tell him. you aren't going to feel better about yourself until you start taking care of yourself. wash your ass EVERY day. shave. when you get 50 extra bucks, stop buying DVD's so you can be seculded in your room, go buy some floss and some new socks and everyday normal people **** so you can be apart of regular society. "yeah man.. that' s cool".. then goes back to square one, doing the same crap he did in the first place

1. he feels like crap because he looks to other people for validation. NO one wil lvalidate a low self esteem having crusty skinny guy with bad skin and wrinkled clothesand smelly breath. Because he doesn't think no one cares, he doesn't care. and the cycle goes on.

He is the reason why you have to learn how to be happy without women. BEggars can't be choosers. he is definatly a begger.

Life is very, very, very fun if you stop looking at women all damn day. dont' get me wrong, I like ass alot, but I had to realize that I like living just a tinny bit more.

think of it this way, when you ar eliving and not worried about what people say or do to you, it's the never ending spinning plate. it won't ever dump you. won't ever leave you. won't ever stand you up on a date. won't ever **** your best friend.

Good lip service huh?

HOW!!! do you not care. I know. it's one thing to say it. it's another thing to actually not care.

Well, I'm not a doctor. I can tell you what worked for me. and It's a journey not a destination. I'm still working on it at times.

1) READ BOOKS ABOUT THE SUBJECT. I found out one day that they make books NoT by Dave DeAngelo, Ross Jefferies and Neil Strauss. they contain some pretty wild ****, like how to build your self esteem, and hwo to deal with other people. Man...

seriously though, read books on the subject. The book called "Self-Esteem" was one of the most helpful books I ever read.

2) Find out exactly what you dont' like about yourself. What have you done int he past to people that was so bad? Why do yo not like yourself?

I had a life long chip on my sholder, that I had to let go.

3) find out WHO you are...

Who ae you? Besides So and So's Girlfriend and So and so's son? What do you like? If you could do something all day long, what would it be? How do you people see you? How do people see you? is what they see, what you see, and what you ARE all the same? the closer thoose 3 are, the happier you will be in the long run.

I'm a guy who loves horse racing and likes to read. While I like to think I'm good with women, i have my flaws and quirks.. I know I can't be the Guy who is club hopping every night, becuase I don't like being around people that much, so I don't ever see myself as that therefore I dont' get down on myself when I am like that.

I'm in shape, GREAT shape, but I'm not going to win a bodybuilder award anytime soon becuase i like good food. as long as I can take my shirt off and not be ashamed I like me.

Me becoming myself and being comfortable in my own skin had alot to do with me being honest with myself. It's hard not to be in shape when you workout 5 days a week, but when I used to start working out, I would look at guys in the gym and see them RIPPED to HELL and get mad because I wasn't like that. Well... I stopped comparing myself because when I go home and there is a home made sweet potato pie sitting on the kitchen table, I'm about to go beatrix kiddo on it. I can take my Girlfriend out to eat a couple of times a week, and actually order what the hell I want and not feel shame in eating a plate full of shrimp fried rice and 2-4 egg rolls. but i know I can't do that 5-6 nights a week also.

Anyway, I gotta run

The lesson I've learned from you guys is that I should not waste my time on something that is totally irrevalent. I've discovered my flaws and I will fix them. All I have to do is to develope a steady and calm mindset.

marci shimoff wrote a book called "happy for no reason" on how to become happy independent of outside things (like pu$$y and money)

basicaly there are seven componants:

1) realize that only YOU are responsible for your happiness
2) question all your thoughts. do they support you?
3) practice love, grattitude, forgiveness and compassion
4) eat right, exercise right, sleep right
5) routine meditation, breathing exercises, prayer, etc
6) make sure you are congruent with your long term goals, which should be aligned with your passions. the road is better than the inn, if you catch my drift.
7) don't waste time with people that bring you down

If you slowly but surely work these into your life over the next 6-12 months, so that they become habits, you should be a master level jedi in no time.

This is precisely why it's critical to live in your own moment. I live my life as if it's the last 5 minutes I'll have. This makes all longterm bullsh!t reduce to nothing.

Don't plan on anything after the next 5 minutes. Work your life on your own schedule and don't commit to anything or anyone you don't absolutely plan on following through with in the next 5 minutes.
Karma, why do you take this attitude? Do you find that by focusing on the present moment, you automatically channel your highest values and do what is in line with your purpose in life? Is that an accurate interpretation of your words?

Are you serious about not planning on anything after the next five minutes? Don't you have long term goals?

This is very different to the way I look at things, so I'm most curious.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
