"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Well maybe I took a backtracking trip into "nice guy way" but you all can be the judge.

My buddies and we'll say me, through a backyard party that was way better than expected. Later in the night we were warned several times by the police to keep things on the low as not to disturb the neighbours.

I saw a girl there that I thought I would cheer up as she looked bummed out, so i did but i got the feeling she'd rather have left the party with someone else.

Here's the sticky part, are nice guys the ones that girls pick up on to go to for a pick-me-up and then go for the bad boys for pleasure?

cuz when was it such a crime to be both when it comes to helping people out. Is that the wrong choice I've been making?

The difference is that I never did any of it to get her in her good books or as a way to be a hero or whatever "nice guy" excuse is out there. (already this sounds as an excuse :D)

so i just wanna know if i was being a "nice guy" or simply a guy being nice.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

yeah threw, forgot people were more interested in catching spelling errors than helping others. However, getting someone to catch their own spelling errors is in itself helping.

I was curious to know if what I was doing would have affected any future chances. Meaning I wasn't going to use it to pick her up, but I wouldn't want to be ruled out as potential because of it.

Which one would it be?

i don't know about being a nice guy and then being the bad boy later on.. not a great combo imo.. the thing is, though, being nice can be several things.. if it is something that the girl really had in need that she couldn't do based on her physical abilities, i would but if not, then use the bad boy charm on her.. even when she wants to be picked up.
