I read a thread recently... well... it was pointed out to me, and I am fairly sure that a few of you know which one I am talking about. Vincent kindly locked it and I followed by removing it completely. Now... until Allen decides to be kind and change my name, I normally would not being showing my face at the moment... but because this thread disturbed me greatly, I feel that it is a bit necessary.

It appears that everyone may be in a bit of a regression period and that is fine... but honestly guys, and I mean this with all seriousness... grow up. If you are bored, there are so many other things you could do with your life than come to a website and attempt to make jokes (yes... that goes to my fellow moderators... I am sorry), make everyone feel inferior to their position (even though they are only sixteen years old) and bitch and moan about the smallest part of their lives.

Honestly, and I may get pelted with rocks for saying this and that is completely fine... but of everyone that I have come to "know" (as much as you can know someone in cyberspace) many of the posters in that thread in this place... I expected much more than what I got. In fact... and perhaps it was a bit naive of me... but I have come to expect a lot more from many of you, my internet peers... than a number of men that I know in reality.

So yeah... I just wanted to get that out.

You know Matrix, your maturity at key points often changed my goals completly. Per chance a new outlook. There's a certain humility to the way you handle things, much like my brother does. My brother and I often agree on points, but he chooses to go about getting the message through more peacefully. I have come to admire and respect this show of understanding with self-restraint.

To you personally, I would like to thank, and also appologize. Now wether my peers deserve my latest attitude towards them, it is irrelevant in regards that when people like you intervene, you make me feel completly inferior. A feeling long missed. "Serious business" of course not, and yes, most people really, really did miss the point of the post entirely. If I want to be "****y and funny" I go out to the park or out with my friends. Not come to a forum and do it. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't theory for the page and practice for the field? Just curious.

Yes and if I want to be preached to I'll go to church.

The fact of the matter is that there are like four guys here that have the sniffles because I told a couple guys that they should change their names. BOO-F*CKING-HOO. Ironically, two of them took it exactly as it was intended -- as helpful advice -- and the other one didn't really cause a big fuss about it. None of the girls that were crying about it were people who I told to change their names.

As for other threads that Eternal, myself and penkitten have posted in, take a look at them... penkitten started one of them, eternal started at least one of the other ones, and the other one was about some porn plot that would've been closed anyway. I maintain that if people get angry by the fact that some of us come on this site for entertainment purposes, they can suck my nuts.

I for one wasn't upset that you told him to change his name. I was upset that you and Eternal each posted about 8 times in the same thread making stupid jokes back and forth to each other. Not because it happened once, but because it was the 5th or 6th thread where I'd seen it happen in the past few days here.

I don't think the question here is about insulting people as it is about mods posting a lot of useless sh*t. (Gio, see your post directly above mine for an example).

See the problem though is that we can't just go around freaking out every time someone posts useless sh*t or what happens is that the useless sh*t multiplies (see this thread as an example).

Alternately, if we start getting rid of everyone who posts useless sh*t, then the boards would be a ghost town. The fact of the matter is that I post a lot of useless sh*t. Some people like it and some people really really don't. You guys must scare a lot of people in the HS forum because I've gotten several PMs about this thread saying that they think eternal and I are funny, but they sure aren't saying it here. If you look, you'll see that occasionally I can give some decent advice. But it's the one-liners and the wit of other guys on this board that keep me interested enough to keep coming back after all this time.

I didn't really see anything wrong with the humor that the moderators are using. It is truely better than 'holy crap I got a number! What do I do?'.
