"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I'm keeping this one real short and concise, basically been with my gf for 3 months....but I've noticed something kind of odd, she has a small pic of her ex on the wall in her room, she has a prom key chain (that he took her too), and she had another pic in her room from prom. Ahhh this was like four years ago and she still has this shyt around. She's my age by the way.. Red flag or no? Obsessive type?!

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Hey mang I really don't see that as a big deal, although when I first started reading it I got suspisions of cheating. But no, guess not. Just like's to remember past happy expereinces I guess. Just think logically. :)

A 19 minute bump, talk about patience. :)

Anyways, some people make a big deal out of stuff like the prom, which they can never really experience again. But if this is at her family's house then I would assume she just left everything where it was from high school. I still have trophies in my room from like preschool, but that doesn't mean I obsess over them every day.

Based on what you said you have nothing to worry about at this point. As long as she still doesn't hangout with that guy or constantly talk about him, I'd say your fine.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Oh yea the other thing I forgot to mention, I wouldn't make a big deal out of it unless she starts bringing the guy up in conversations and such.

liking the bump, bump, bump.. hadnt heard any b2k in a long time..

dude, for ur own good, dont even sweat it.. like seriously, DO NOT bring it up.. all girls have love for their ex's.. esp their first loves.. its nothing man..

as long as shes with u now and ur making her feel good and special ur straight.. i still have love for my ex's..obviously its not the same as i would for a current g/f but i still think about them and the good times..

think about it before u bring it up, think about how u will look..i mean if u guys are pretty close u can ask her about her past lovers, but beware man, this opens up all kinds of issues and then shes gonna be thinkin about him and sh1t..

just be cool and try not to think about it.. jealousy kills.. but from the way ur asking us and looking at the situation, ur gonna ask her.. just make sure the time is right and ur willing to deal with hearing something u mite not wanna hear

listen man.. out of sight, out of mind... in her case, in sight in the mind... i wouldnt be suprised if she thinks about her x once in a while during sex with you ;)

Thanks for the advice, I'm definitely not going to bring it up because that just makes me look jealous and insecure on my part. I just wanted to get an idea if girls usually cling to memories and keep shyt like that. I don't keep shyt from my prom with my ex highschool gf around my apartment lol just thought it was kinda weird.

She doesn't hook up with her ex he goes to a different college and we've only been going out for 3 months so i wouldn't expect my picture on the wall. The ex is a high school bf by the way if that means anything

The stuff is in her college apartment not her family's house.

Hmm, I guess it depends on when they broke up, etc. But yea like I was saying before I wouldn't make a big deal out of it unless she starts talking about him all the time. Then you invest in a good parachute and bail out the window. Haha.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
