"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Hey all:

Just wanted to share an article with you. You know how some of the guys on here have set up POF profiles as girls to see what kinds of messages they get sent to them? I just found an article where another guy did the same thing on OK Cupid, and was kind enough to take pictures of the message interactions guys had with "her."

As you'll see in the article, he uses a cute girl's face and sets up a profile that is not only littered with spelling mistakes, but makes the girl sound down-right crazy. Despite this, the profile managed to get him 39 messages sent to him.

What's interesting to see in the article is just how desperate some of these guys are to want to get with her, even after "she" tells them stuff about herself that would make any sane man head for the hills. It's a great read, and one I felt would be worth having you guys read.

Here's the article - read it and post your thoughts below!

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I've seen a few of these experiments. In my opinion, it doesn't prove anything. These dudes are just looking to get their d**k wet.

We live in a world where men bang prostitutes (usually crazy), and blow money on strippers (usually crazy). I can't see how it's surprising that guys would also want to bang pretty (and crazy) women for free online.

I'm not crapping on your post, Harry. This is just the 4th or 5th time I've seen that "experiment" performed as an attempt to show how "desperate" men are. And what can I say, when it comes to casual sex, people are looking at "is she attractive" not "does she have a really nice personality".

Understandable - it's just interesting to actually see pictures of it. People on here talk about the messages they got, but to actually see a visual of it makes it even sadder, especially being able to see what "she" was typing back to them.

The reason this experiment is still pretty popular to read, though, is because there are guys on here that will respond to girls like this. So, it still ends up being quite the eye-opener, almost like a mirror to them of "wow, is THIS how I'M acting??" Hopefully they're at least learning something from post like this.

ah well. the one dude in the end offers her money so he can do lot of nasty stuff with her. 150 bucks seems a reasonable price to me :D

the whole thing is obviously not about meeting your soulmate, so i cant see what the big deal is.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I stay away from websites like POF and myspace, mainly because I discovered that nearly every on there wants to get laid. And although it seemed like a good idea beforehand, I am not too happy with everyone I have found through those sites. The main reason being that its annoying when everyone wants to get laid all the time. And I have a life beyond getting laid by frisky women all the time who put profiles on those sites. Some of the time is alright, but only with a trusted woman.

i made a fake girl profile just to see what would happen. i put a hot blond girls pic on it and just made a bs profile. the results compared to mine are astonishing.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v186/pyro98/THETRUTH.jpg

i didnt interact with any of the guys who sent messages though. i did notice that a lot of the messages they sent did sound desparate. others were like "you seem so cool." when i hardly put anything on the profile. this is just a snapshot of what i had the other day, but this is how it always looks when i log in to either one. the girl profile is always 200 new messages, my real profile with my real pics is no messages.
after i put the girls pic up, i got messages before i even finished the profile. within a week the inbox was full. ive had to clean it out twice. on my real profile i have to send like 100 messages before i get maybe 1 or 2 that will even respond to me.
yesterday i created a fake guys profile. i stole some pics of this handsome dude with great abs, an aspiring male model. i edited and dumbed down the pics to make it look more believable. within 2 hours i had 5 messages of girls that sounded like they were ready to jump my d!ck.
i say it proves a lot.

I needed a good laugh and that article was the bomb.

So funny yet pathetic at the same time.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I will apologize up front if I come off anything other than constructive, but I gotta tell you, things like this blows me away!

this is ONE of the many problems with forums like this. There is some really good 'take-aways" from here, some really solid advice. ALOT which has helped me become part of who I am today.

But as much as this place can help you, it can HURT you just the same, if not more.

We spend so much time ANALYZING, we get away from the very reason why we are here.

So we've gotten to the point where men are taking VALUABLE time out of their lives, taking time from improving their own skills, but more importantly time away from BETTERING THEMSELVES, to create, reply, and converse with MEN under the false pretense they are a woman........? Help me understand what I am missing.

How does this ....expirement.... help you?? What "insight" is this providing to you that will show any form of benefit to your life?

this is a common theme that I continue to see on forums like this. We spend majority our day in front of the computer reading other peoples success, wasting our already short lives on irrelevancy.

We start to spend more and more time doing things like creating fake profiles, using fake pictures of other men to create interest in women, spend hours on hours watching OTHER MEN get the women, and JUSTIFY these things by saying this is "learning". when if fact it gives you the false sense of security that you are bettering yourself. ITS NOT...and I imagine this is NOT what you signed up for when you first stumbled on this site.

If youve been here on this forum for awhile, try and remember what brought you here, how you found this place. Find the very reason and drive that you had to better yourself.

If youre new here, try to constantly remind yourself WHY YOU ARE HERE. Keep that memory fresh, because its easy to fall into the "circle jerks" youll have on forums like this.

Theres actually quite a few of these. Girls pose as trailer trash skanks, as well. Some of them are pretty funny. Bottom line is, online dating is a breeding ground for losers with no standards or class. Avoid.

I've seen that thread before. Now some dudes may be genuinely desperate and others may just be fvcking around killing time as it's a reply from a chick or just fvcking around period.

I've done that before. Just to fvck around and go with the conversation no matter how retarded it was. Reply "agreeing" to whatever the "chick" or some dude dressed in his sisters panties posing as a chick says just to kill a few minutes of boredom and amuse myself.

Nice "experiment" and I've said retarded sh1t to fake profiles KNOWING they are fake just to fvck around. Someone could post the same sh1t I said up somewhere as "proof": Look at how "desperate" this guy is!

Some may take online "dating" seriously..others may not but still are used as "examples". Carry on.

You mean you didn't have to "game" them or come up with "witty" messages & profile content?

You mean....women care about how good looking a man is??? Could PUA theory be misguided?

If men had a limit of contacting one person per day, this might almost mean something.... But we know that lots of guys spam dozens of accounts per day, especially the new ones. There's a limited risk in spamming online, and we know that "limited risk" is the trademark of the AFC/orbiter.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Spam all you want, yet you still have to take them out and lay them. It's just another means to meeting these dumb broads.

You're right, Papi (did I just call another guy "Papi"???? Holy sh1t...)

All I was talking about is how this fake profile was able to pull 39 messages. Does anyone really think most of the guys who responded cared about her typing skills... or even what she wrote at all? No, they saw a new face that looked ok, spammed her, then moved on to the next new profile to do the same thing again.

Harry's one of the brightest posters here... I'd be surprised if he read too much into this silly experiment. Now, if POF charged you a dollar each time you contacted someone else, how many responses do you think this profile would have received? Like I said, there's no risk, no cost - and very little expectation - when guys respond to a POF profile.

Finally somebody with some rationality. I'd for sure hit on this chick and send her a couple of emails. I don't give a sh*t if she watches The Little Mermaid 20 times a day. What matters to me in online dating is how hot a girl is and how easy she is. That's it. That's 100% of my qualifications for boning her.

So I'd throw a couple of emails out there, see if she's DTF, and if not I'd move on to the next. When it comes to online dating, if you give a rat's *ss what movies a girl likes before deciding whether or not you want to f*ck her, you're doing it wrong.

And no, I'm not ashamed of trolling online for p*ssy. I've f*cked at least 2 dozen broads (actually closer to 30) from my online activities over the years and I haven't paid a dime for it (other than when actually meeting the women for "dates" of course). All that trolling in bars or clubs would have run me tens of thousands of dollars and I'd be going up against guys taller, better looking, with far more money and game than I have.
