"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

So theres this chick I have been friends with for quite some time. My friend talked to her at a Friday lunchtime and she apparently said to my friend that she wanted me to ask her to the formal. So my friend tells me this on Monday, and I arrange to ask on Friday.
I decide to ask by buying a rose or something and I have it all planned out, but then my friend talks to her on Thursday and she says, "but thats not true anymore, I want someone else to ask me now".
So now I am all depressed and sad.
But this guy she wants to ask her is apparently not going to, and she said herself, "im almost definately sure hes not going to ask me though".
So if I ask now, I will probably get rejected.
Do I wait around for this guy to ask someone else so that she loses interest and wants me to? Or do I just bail out and ignore her?
I think I already know the answer. But I really like this girl, and have been her friend for some time, and theres no other girl I would rather go with.

Thanks
PS. I live in Australia, so our 'formal' is in November. So I got plenty of time. ;)

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

This is a no brainer

The girl is not just gonna reject you if she doesn't think the guy she wants to go with isn't gonna go with her. Plus you've been friends for a while she's not gonna want to her your feeling.

The worst thing to do in your situation is wait. Unless she asks you (Highly Doubtful) then your just gonna miss out on a great chance to be wit someone you really like.

DONNOT wait, go for it on the set date you made, the longer you wait the more she will lose interest in you.

Ok. So some reckon wait. Some reckon go for it.
Exactly what my friends are saying .. I'm confused.
On an msn conversation she said, "Yeah I want this other guy to ask me, but I'm almost definately certain he isn't going to."
Also my other friend reckons he isn't going to either.
Which makes me wonder. Why would she not want me to ask, if she knows this guy isn't going to ask??
Hell I could ask a dozen hot chicks in my grade, but I'm not going to because I know the answer would almost certainly be 'no'. So I'm asking this chick instead. Why would she do this?
And what kinda chick changes her mind like that? In less than a week I go from her wanting me, to not wanting me. I didn't even do anything wrong. I was sick on Tuesday so I stayed home, then I come on Wednesday and its all changed. :(
I feel used.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

You'd be surprised. A lot of guys pass up asking really hot girls to dances because they fear rejection.

But guess what. If you at least somewhat know the girl (just being acquaintances with the girl and having talked to her a fair amount, don't necessarily have to have hung out outside of school), and she doesn't have anyone else in mind, odds are she will say yes to being asked to a dance.

Sure, she may have just said yes to be nice, but if you apply your DJ skills you should have her having a good time. Plus, whether or not she's really interested in you, if she said yes she obviously likes you somewhat.

I used to be afraid to ask girls to dances like prom, but I've realized it's not as hard as people make it out to be.

It worked for me this year. I'm a junior, and while I'm definitely not unpopular, I'm not exactly the most popular kid either (I'm friends with a lot of popular kids, and I'll go to parties sometimes, but I don't have people calling me up left and right). I decided to ask a sophomore who most consider to be the hottest sophomore. I'm kind of friends with her and have hung out with her before, but when I asked her I hadn't hung out with her in a long time, so I was a little skeptical. But, she said yes anyway. I got a ton of props from guys for asking her and a lot of people asked me how I did it. Well it was simple, I just asked.
