I finally went out and started cold approaching last night. It was new and I learned a good bit off a few rejections alone, but ultimately pretty underwhelming. I lost count of how many approaches I did, got blown out of all of them until the last one (I didn't pull though). I thought the girls were going to create this big scene and get me kicked out, ridiculous as that sounds, but I know I am far from the only guy who ever had that fear.

Anyway, I created this thread for one main purpose, and thats to let guys reading this know that their fear of approaching and getting rejected is understandable but unnecessary. Worst thing that happened was a girl told me to go away, which ok that sucks but nobody died or anything. Point is I never thought I would do that, but I did, now its time for anyone else who hasn't to go do it.

That's good man. Gotta start somewhere. I hope you find success with it. I personally have never been a fan of cold approaching. I used to do it a lot when I was in my late teens and got mixed results. I'd say like 60% of the time it worked. However I find my rate of success is doubled with a warm approach i.e. being introduced, doing something mutual like a sport, project. So I did away with cold approaching for the most part and focused more on building my social circle and participating in stuff.

Honestly, I only plan to do the whole "cold approach to pickup" thing on nights that I go out for nightlife. The experience does make me feel like being more social during the day, though too.
