problem with internet dating

I decided to try the internet dating two days ago with adultfrienfinder. I have sent plenty of messages and gotten some answers.
My problem is that all the grls that answered gave me some website where I can get their phone number and see sexy pics of them. These sites all ask for a membership fee in order to see the infos.
I'm wondering if this is just a way for the grls to make money. Why not include the phone numbers in their mail if they wanna talk. If I wanna go to all these sites, I WILL BE BROKE.
Anybody have been through this and knows what is going on?

I just joined out of curiously, but it is quite a sleezy site all the guys post pictures of their ****s. And lot of the guy bodies look like porn stars. I don't believe that amount of good looking men in real life would come to the site. I think most of the people on their are middle age swingers or prositiutes promoting their services. Or curious people like me, who never have any intention in repling to the E-Mails
