Private Forum Vs. Abbas' Forum

First of all, I am not creating this thread to flame abbas, but to point out a fallacy.

A while ago, he created a forum, a private forum, and let me in on it, along with others.

I am in HS, my last year in it. When i went in it, I was put in probation, cuz I seemed too "inexperienced" to participate. I went along with it, cuz i liked the idea of a private forum and the issues that it could address.

After probation, I was "allowed" to post, but strongly urged to read and not post. So I went along with this, and I made the mistake of posting two posts that were literally a line and a half each.

And so now I am out.

Now, I know that it is a private forum, but ididn't realize the rules that would be imposed by Abbas. He gives no disclaimer saying he doesn't want HS posters.

He says it is for the good of the forum, but honestly, he is the administrator, and he could easily just, here comes the mind blowing part, erase my posts, as i didn't create threads very much.

I value both private forums and ones like this. I would love to say that I had the skills and know how to creat my own forum, where I would not commit the same errors that Abbas is doing, but I don't for now. But I am checking into creating a forum that would be semi-private if not completely private. But I would state all of my objectives for the forum and entrance into it for all to see.

But, one possible suggestion for a forum like this is to find a poster or two that you trust for good advice for different situations, and PM them with your problem. This would give you privacy and get you more personal advice.

This is not a rant, and i am not trying to rip Abbas up, but the way his forum is, it isn't the best way.

I think that with a little more strict moding here, a forum like Abbas' would mostly be unnccessary.

But until this site is cleaned up a little, I am checking into how to create a forum that won't mislead people and will be to help more people.

And also, if somehow the flame war focuses on me, please do me a favor and just PM me, cuz I want this thread to be read by as many people as possible with open minds.


And Just in case people think Iwould be prejudice against people who aren't Christian, I only argue for the Christian standpoint here in this section, and that is more cuz Ienjoy good, sometimes heated discussions. I will not bother people for different views other than mine.

I think Abbas is doing a great job with his forum. He is trying to keep it strict so n00bs and kbjs don't slip through. And from what I've picked up, most of the people on his forum (or all) are people who are out of HS. So it's not the exactly appropiate place to ask "omg this girl sent me a note in class. what to do? lol"

Most of the people over there are pretty darn good in what they do. Just look at syncmaster, he's setting up a dj school of some sort.

I have the utmost respect for the members of the invitelounge forum. I think that the point you say I already addressed with the mods doing a little more clean up.

I agree this post shouldn't be allowed. I know You are on that forum, Centurion. I liked the idea, and I know Abbas was basing a lot of his judgement on my posting here, but you, as well as the others on the private forum know that while I post a lot here, I was not at all KBJing the other forum. Abbas is trying to screen out nowbs and kbjs, but his way of doing it is wrong.


Abbas PMed me telling me Iwas out, and among other things, I told him I wouldn't flame him or the board because I have a lot of respect for the members there.

However, I admire Abbas for trying to create the perfect clean forum but I am going to try and create a better forum, or somehow get this site cleaned up.

Again, this isn't flaming Abbas.

I didn't know the rules were so strict there. I don't post a lot there, just the odd words from experience.

I think the purpose of the invite lounge is to create a forum where guys can talk from experience rather than regurgitating theory or talking hypothetically, which happens a lot on this forum and cause all the good advice to be overlooked.

There are even some field reports that post failed pickups and bad experiences, but they at least come from their experience, which is the key factor.

I doubt all the guys there are flawless seducers (I'm not that myself), but they all seem to be guys who are taking action, go out, talk to women or do things to improve their success rates.

My only complaint is that there aren't enough users and not much activity there, so I do agree it would be good to have a kind of "middle ground" forum.

I can't say personally why you were put on probation, but I think Abbas is doing a good job of monitoring the quality there.

Abbas runs the invitelounge.

I didn't write FRs because for most of the time, I was on a sort of probation, and wasn't allowed to post.

Jariel, JC, I know you guys know I didn't write FRs, but honestly, it has been maybe a week and a half since Iwas allowed to post again, and I got thrown out.

I would have posted FRs there, but since I got thrown out pretty darn quick, not a heck of a huge chance to write a lot of FRs.

My mistake was to post the two posts that I made, Jariel and JC at least can see what I posted, that were a literally a line and a half each, so I wasn't KBJin, and I got tossed out.

Pretty dissappointing.

Look at yourself. You are being upset about being kicked out of some secret internet society. Who cares?

Go out, approach, talk to, and pick up girls for yourself, not for FRs or to stay inside some secret forum.

It is not being part of the private forum that attracted me, it was the info posted on there that isn't posted here.

Info will only get you so far,, it's only meant to kickstart your confidence and get you to start approaching. If you can approach you don't really need the info, all you need is practice. Experiance means everything. You can read every tip in the bible, masf, dyd, etc, but until you start working on your experiance, you wont know sh!t.

The more approach, the more you talk to women, the more you will realize that most of the info posted by others doesn't suit you. That's when you develop your own style and stop reading those internet tips.
