Don Juan
Ok, this is something that I noticed recently about mystery and how to really work it. The trick is to have a mystery that is both about you and her. Here's my example:
We all know that girls, in general, have no real idea of why they or their friends do the things that they do. For the most part, they are more clueless about themselves than about guys. A couple of weeks ago, I was talking to this chick who *I* LBJFed (she had really **** taste in music, and music is huge to me) and she mentioned something about how her friends have broken up with the guys, but still hang around them all the time and really want to be with them, despite the fact that these guys treated them like ****. And she compared this to herself, because she doesn't have any desire to be with her ex, who treated her really nice. As she was explaining this perplexity to me, I got this real "knowing" look on my face with a smug grin. She noticed and asked me what was on my mind, and I merely mentioned that it makes sense.
This hooked her. She tried to get me to tell her why it made sense, because she really had no idea why her friends would want to be with guys who treated them ****, while she didn't want to be with a guy who was nice to her. But I wouldn't tell her, instead I explained that I *can't* tell her, because she'd get all "I'm not like that!" and she wouldn't like it and blah blah blah she'd get all *****y and ****ty because I'd tell her something about herself that she wouldn't want to hear.
So she dropped it after a few minutes and the conversation continued.
Then, 5 days later, she started going on about how I pissed her off by not telling her the reason, going on about how I don't think she can handle it and blah blah blah. But she was behaving really interested in me and mentioned how she'd been thinking of me and what I'd said many times during the week (as good a sign as any of interest, espeically because she was thinking about me emotionally, regardless of what emotion it was). But I could see that she was loving trying to convince me to tell her. But I refused and again she dropped it, but over the course of the day I could see that her interest level was skyrocketing. She was smiling and flirting with me heaps, then I'd ignore her for a while, then when I paid attention to her again she was even more excited to be talking to me. You know, the usual DJ ****.
Then, that night, she kept messaging me and trying to get me to meet her on the other side of the city for drinks with her friends. I'm not stupid, I know she was trying to show me off to her friends and the wine seemed to be relaxing her inhibitions about being with me. But you know, I'm not all *that* interested in her, especially not to drive all the way over to the other side of the city, plus I had plans with some other friends. But the point is that her interest level has sky-rocketed again even after I LBJFed her a few weeks ago, and I'm positive it's got alot to do with me not telling her something she really wanted to know. It kept her thinking about me and why I wouldn't tell her. It placed me in a position of power because I knew something about her that not even she knew. I knew that she, like her friends and all girls, NEEDED to be dominated by a man; they needed an Alpha male, and they are only capable of seeing relationships between forms, not the forms themselves, so they can't see that a guy himself is a jerk and treats her bad, all they see is the relationship of power that exists between the guy and them and so they respond to this power relationship by wetting their panties. This created a powerful sense of mystery for her to tackle because my mind holds great secrets, and probably no small amount of challenge too because I refuse to tell her.
So yeah, that's my experience. I reckon if you can find some way to act as if you know something about them that they don't know, then refuse to tell them, this might do wonders in getting them to chase you. It's exaclty the same principle as DeAngelo's example of palm-reading, only applied at a much deeper level and with the added challenge of "why won't he tell me?" because you are acting as though if you told her she'd get upset and deny it and etc. It establishes power and mystery and challenge all in one. My suggestion is that even if you don't know something, fake it like you do, because even if you do, you must NEVER tell them the answer. Let them ask the question, let them chase you for the answer, NEVER give in and tell them or the whole thing becomes resolved and fades away. For that reason you can fake it and make it.
What do you guys reckon?
