Postpone date because of cold sore?

Hey,

so there's this HB, I know for sure she likes me a lot and we made out last week at a birthday party, though we were both pretty drunk. Anyway, we set up a date for today. This morning I woke up and I have two cold sores on my lower lip. It's not like it's too noticable but even if I meet her, I won't be able to kiss her or do anything. So how should I play this? Just call her and tell her I'm not feeling well and I'll call her and set up a new date as soon as it's gone?

I just feel like it'd be awkward for our "first date" (sort of) if I knew that I couldn't do anything. Thoughts, postpone or just go and not kiss/do anything?

On a first date, I think not kissing her would do as much damage (or more) as rescheduling the date.

Maybe just tell her work's getting out of control and ask her what her sched is like for next week.

In the meantime apply plenty of ColdSore-FX and 1000mg of L-Lysine three times a day.

Hey, thanks for the quick replies! What I ended doing was telling her that I'm not feeling well and won't be making it tonight. I also told her that I'll call her when I feel better and that we can set up another date then.

She replied something about get well soon bla bla. I'll call her when the cold sores are gone and see where it goes. Even if doesn't turn out, there's a million more chicks out there! Thanks again everyone, I love this forum!

Get Abreva and pop it on 3X a day. Play it cool for the next 2 weeks.....shıt takes a while to clear up completely.

I would have postponed.

I get cold sores too, and i always make it a habit to go out as little as possible when this happens.
