"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

18, high school senior, enjoying life etc, but I've got a bit of a problem.

I've got prom coming up sometime in two months or so, and right now everyone's talking about it, asking people, etc. I'd rather not go alone, but I also really don't have anyone in mind who I'd like to take. I don't know many girls friendlyish enough to go as friends and as far as any sexualish relationships, I have none, none past, and none in the works. I've got one girl I'm going to ask as a friend whenever I see her next and a few who I know from out of school (If some miracle works out I might end up at another school's prom, that would be cool...I'm trying to avoid inter-school stuff if I can help it.) Potential girls are dropping like flies though, so I don't quite have much time.

At this point, I haven't even figured out any sort of limo situation. The group of people who all my classes are with are the hardcore nerds, who aren't even gonna go (and would be no fun to go with...they were talking today about tuxedo = +1 to looks +2 charisma like goddamn D&D. That's annoying.). I've got a few friends in other crowds and I know some of the popular group but not in a way that I'd end up in their limo or party bus or w/e. I don't have any one specific group (with any prom potential at least) that I roll with alot.

Like hell though I'm going to miss prom though.

I'm ready to go off to college so I can start fresh, sans reputations, sans D&D club classmates, and endowed with all the wisdom I've learned in HS.

I know the post may sound a bit pessimistic, and I'm normally not like this. I've been kinda out of it and sick for a couple days, but I need to do something about my situation.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Go with some friends and just have a GREAT time. I find it hard to believe that you have no close friends. If you are enjoying yourself then the women with be drawn to you and that's where you score. (Beavis and Butthead will envy you.) Theres many other prom threads and this is sorta stolen from one of them by memory.

no.......not really. As I said this is from one of the other prom posts.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I've got a few close friends, though all of em are from different groups and most are from the group thats not even goin (nerds...theyre who I have all my classes with and have had all my classes with), but I just realized that one dude i know prolly doesnt have a limo either, ima see if we can start one tomorrow. I don't have a strong presence in any participating group though, which is my problem as far as finding a limo.

start cultivating a girl to go with u romantically, but makes sure she doesnt just think it is purely to go to prom with you

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Ding Ding Ding!

Prom isn't that big of a deal though! In high school i was pretty fat and big because i was determined to play college football so my confidence level was horrible. I just went with a bunch of my buddies and drank a ****load afterwards. Now i kinda wish i can go back because A) i'm a ****load lighter ... 40 pounds lighter and ripped as hell.... B) my game is 100 times better due to my high confidence level.. and C) I can dance really good!

LEARN HOW TO DANCE AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! get your one friend and go clubbing... watch other people as they're on the floor and practice at home. Dancing will be with you forever and i garantee if you're decent on the dance floor with a bad ass car ,you'll have no problem finding one or even a couple girls to take home with you or after party with!

I might go clubbing with some coworkers this weekend (I work at A+F) so I'll focus on learning to dance-I can bump and grind a bit, but not very well. Going stag could be awesome, I'll see if we can rent something with an ungodly powerful engine and both go stag and wingmatesish and whatnot, then find and afterparty and hook up with whoever.
