Ok so the reason you want to take steriods is because you want to keep size during mma? How much do you weigh? MMA+ Gaining muscle mass at the same time= not an easy thing to do. What your looking at is taking a period of time away from hard mma training and focusing on massing up (2+years) Once your masse up and remain dense for awhile when you get back into hard mma you won't dwindle down the same way as before (even though you will lose some mass)

Steroids are like most any other drug. Good and helpful in proper dosages. It's the dumbasses who use things wrong that fvck it up for everyone else such as the whole ephedra ban caused by people killing their hearts by taking too much whether it was too much at one time or too much per day.

It's wayyyy overblown the dangers of steroids. Really look at all those pro athletes. A ton are taking them. They're not dropping dead like flies, are they? But they're mostly under the care of a competent doctor who knows what he's doing.

Hell, aren't ALLERGY SHOTS a type of steroid?

I still wouldn't do them. There's absolutely no need for a non-professional. I don't even take ibuprofen or aspirin unless I really need to.

Oh, have you considered high dosage glutamine? That's supposed to work wonders on recover, boosting the immune system, and improving the digestive tract.

It's cheap so I'd personally at least try it and see what happened so not much loss if it's ineffective for you.

You make a lot of sense. But I'm convinced I over train.
Every time I do to much activity I'll get really sore, I'm sure my immune system is down. And stupid stuff will happen like pulling muscles.
I never get sick unless I overtrain.

To the OP:

If you believe that dbol and other substances are going to lay down slabs of muscle on your frame, you're mistaken. Somebody else touched this base, but even WITH cycling roids it takes months and years to make solid progress. As Espi claimed, he gained 30lbs in 24 months. That is little over 1lb per month which is easily(EASILY) doable for somebody who hasn't found the proper stimulus yet.

It may be that your muscle building genetics are NOT in the top 5% of the population, and thus you have to choose between MMA and bodybuilding, because demanding both from your body is apparently more than it can deliver.

if you think I am anti-steroid or something, I am not by the way. it's just there's a lot of misinformation I've seen (here and in other places, like .. "STEROIDS WILL KILL YOU AND MAKE YOUR PENIS EXPLODE") that such threads became trainwrecks very quickly.

as for Wolf, I've taken him under my wing.. it's time for him to grow. :D

that's what I meant.. there's plenty of anti-chem stuff on here from people who simply don't know what they're talking about. on other boards (i.e. IM) a good proportion of the guys juice but there's never such arguments because everyone there is sensible, ya know?

And on the overtraining deal, yeah its very hard to actually pin-point exactly if you are overtraining. Muscle soreness is not a set indication of overtraining, nor is being tired, etc etc.

Yeah, maybe if your immune system gets shot, but it could be other things too. Same with pulling something. Are you lifting right?

Now you can go in the gym, lift for 6hrs and KNOW that is overtraining. That's not the problem.

Its if your in there an hour or so, and maybe even 1.5hrs and you train, at what point do you KNOW that ok... This amount of Reps, sets, pounds, etc, JUST induced overtraining.

I could work out for 2hrs (I dont) but is it really overtraining?

We all normally dont do that, but that's why it is so hard to figure out. We have signs, and can maybe predict some, but there is no solid deal that says... Hey look, you're overtraining. We cant diagnose it really.

We'll look at Physiological aspects, and things like that.

Steroids are your deal man, but just know what you're getting into, and I dont say this lightly. You better research the difference of pills/tabs vs injections, the affect of the liver when you take oral roids, and many other factors.

PROS have Doctors cause they have money, and I doubt your going to be monitored with blood tests every so often.

You better think about things to combat Gyno and the such for certain ones.

All I can say is do be the dumb ass that so many young people are when they take them. STEROIDS ARE NOT ALL CREATED EQUAL.

If you seriously end up taking them, i'd highly suggest you pick up a copy of Anabolics 2007 from Bill Llewelyn. It'll be the best investment you make if you venture into that realm.
