Pook
A mysterious former Legendary DJ on the forums of Sosuave.com. He was highly regarded as one of the greatest DJ's who have ever lived. He was the essence of all that DJism stood for--getting women to like men. His advice, posts and contributions are the best by any single person, bar none. He started from the depths of AFCism and reached the pinnacle on DJism. He was hailed as a hero, crusading through women, a true champion. Then something happened, he started "changing". After he made it to the top he looked down at the "DJ way" what it stood for, what its aims were, so he denounced the DJ Bible and became completely disillusioned with women. Pook was then accused of Blasphemy, Misogyny and a few other charges. But in reality he just saw the "dating game" for what it was and most women for who they were. He then left Sosuave and disappeared off the map.

He has never been seen again.

kinda surprises me how he only has three level rep points so when last i read his thread i gave him (pook) rep points. Everyone shud rep him when next they read his sh1t. I mean the guy actually 'contributed' massively to the site as opposed to dwelling in his 'internet power' and torturing noobs with VAGUE advice.

The greatest difference between pook and most other posters was, that pook wrote his articles for himself and just put them on the table for everyone. Most people try to teach other people and often just do it to feel better about themselves. They repeat the same things over and over again whereas pook only postet when there was something new. He traveled the path to DJism and whenever he encounter problems he found a solution and put it into a post to read as much for himself as for others. SO everyone who follows his path will get to the same problems and see how the posts fit into this.

I studied his work and wrote my findings in an esssay. I later published my findings in the Harvard University Press. The article is named: 'Pook's work: discourse interpretation'. It's in the November edition, 2003. In my article I emphasised on the use of Critical Discourse Analysis in order to uncover the ideologies presented in his work. The Critical Discourse Analysis is a method invented by Karl Marx, Jurgen Habermas and Michel Fouccault, who were the first to link discourse to power. The results of this qualitive analysis pointed in the direction that the correct way of interpreting Pook's work is to stop visiting the internet and start climbing mountains. In case you get bored, Pook advises to play ball.

In summary:
- Critical Discourse Analysis as a method to read work correctly
- Critical Discourse Analysis is an scientifically approved method, especially in the academic circles of the Humanities
- Critical Discourse Analysis doesn't require authorization. In general, it's the scientific community who approved the validity of this method and the freedom to be used by anyone.
- The scientific community is an independend circle of intellectuals whose methods are not compensated by outsiders, neither does it require authorization to practice it's profession.

By understanding them. For example, not twisting facts. Pook was never talking about getting women to like men. Where did you read this?

Pook does. Read his stuff before you talk about it.

No one. Pook wrote it. You can agree with it or not, but if you quote it wrong, then you are wrong. Logic dictates correctness.

I did not intend to start a lengthy discussion, I just wanted to know what you guys thought of my definition. I admit that I am likely wrong in that one parta about getting women or w/e, oh well.

You're misinformed.

There is not a single thread that Pook posted here that conveys how to get women to like men. I know this because I've read every single one of his writings.

His earliest writings date back to the beginning years of the last decade and are fully searchable here at sosuave.net. I like the fact that you're paying homage to Pook, but you should know the facts before you espouse opinions.

That is because pook posed in the days before the rep system 're-calibrated.' Nobody had high rep back then. It's much easier now to get high rep these days.
