What matters most at the end of the day (or your life) is to know and accept that you have lived your day (or your life) to the best of your abilities. When you have done this, you have surely gained tremendous experience in the day (or your life) that you lived.

Though I'd agree with a good quote from the videogame Eternal Darkness possibly being true that says "we have a very human need to weave a web of meaning where there may be none".

Thinking about how life originated because it was statistically a stable way for chemical bonds to exist, I guess the purpose of life is still about preserving the very matter we are made of. But it was also a statistically stable thing for the matter to exist in such a way that it had the free choice of doing what it had coded itself to do or to recode itself to do something else (that means, be intelligent and free willed) because that behaviour by itself increases the chances of the matter to be preserved. But ironically free will only exists on such a level to mold the world to suit us but not on the level to truly go against our self-coded instincts of continuing the existence of the DNA we are made of.

On the making babies note, I do feel a striong urge to continue and improve the human race. I guess this explains my passions of exercise physiology and learning.
