"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

This is the second poll, out of a 2 part series. I am trying to determine something here.

The question for this poll is as follows

if you had to choose between option 1 or option 2 which would you pick

Option 1: Give up your ambitions and dreams FOREVER for a life supply of sex and gorgeous women of your choosing

Option 2: Give up sexual intercourse and the affections of women FOREVER for the benefits of your life ambitions and dreams

My hypothesis: I believe most people will choose option 2, but id be interested to see their rationale behind it. The interesting thing is this: Chasing women stifles our pursuance of our goals and ambitions, and I believe this to be a prima facie assumption - something that is intuitively correct. Sex has always blinded men from achieving their highest potential. I do believe that option 2 will be reflected with more votes, but why is it then, that we allow ourselves to be stifled by women now, if clearly our goals and ambitions are more important to us? Lets discuss this.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I feel like getting women makes me want to be more successful in other parts of my life. Being successful and reaching your goals probably wont make you very happy if you do not have someone to share it with.

I think it goes : ( not necessarily in this order )
Be successful with women -> Be happier and have more confidence -> Be more successful in other areas of like ( be more ambitious ) -> Be happier and have more confidence -> Be successful with women -> etc.

Reminds me of Maslows Hierarchy of Needs

I've got no ambitions or dreams so, for me, the choice is clear ;)

IMHO, creatures are on this planet to survive and reproduce. Everything else is wishful thinking. If your "dreams and ambitions" don't include (and prominently feature) a harem of young women, then you've bought into some BS that society has fed you.

However, that realization took many years to sink in for me. When I was in my early 20s, like you are OP, I believed that it was important to "make a mark" and "leave a legacy" and all that. Then one day I realized that, once I'm dead, none of that will matter. Having your name in the history books doesn't help you when you're dead.

Busting your ass year after year to "achieve your highest potential" benefits everyone except you. And that, of course, is why our society pushes the concept so hard.
