Since posters mentioned the new age restrictions on POF I felt like checking what thoughts were on POF's own forums. There's a few threads (this one linked is the main one) talking about the age restrictions and everyone seems to not like it.

if you are are looking for women the youngest you can search for is your age -14 this rule is only in effect if you search for women under 35. Women 18 to 21 can only be contacted by men under 30. (not fully implemented yet)

Women who are 18 come to the site to find people to date, they don't come here to find "friends" with men in their 50's. Over all for young women its just a horrible user experience as for some of them over half their messages are from men double their age. This change only effects 1.7% of first contacts between users on the site but it will make a huge difference in terms of female perception of the site.

Sure Markus! The younger slores on POF come to POF to "date". This clown actually expects people to believe his BS! It's hilarious! The slores on POF of ANY age are getting pumped and dumped by the best they can land for the night. Nothing more. Yet the "old perverts" are the problem! Righto! It'll change peoples perception (women) of the site! As if they aren't all wh0ring it up on there to begin with! LMFAO!


What's even FUNNIER is the women can pretty much contact men of ANY age on there per the users. A few dudes have already experienced it per their remarks where chicks out of their age range can contact them but they can't respond! So it's OBVIOUS that the block was made towards MEN.

What is happening is that he's trying to weed out the undesirable males. Women are chasing the same 10% of men who are cleaning up on POF.
Of course, men are gonna create more profiles to beat the age restrictions. And has Markus heard of cougars? Maybe. This problem of online dating is just gonna draw in more men! It's not like it was 5 years ago. 5 years later from now, I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes more about attention whoring and teasing and men having to pay to send messages!

Here's something else I noticed. I remember a site called sexsearch.com and men have to pay to send messages. Women, however, don't pay a dime! Roughly any dating service has men pay to use it because men are doing most of the chasing and harassing. It's like clubs!

Nismo the only reason I brought this thread up is the hilarity of it all. The owner Mucus is trying to "clean up" the perception or FACT of what that site has become and IS. It's all about the best looking in pics banging out as many of these "ladies" as possible.

I just found it today and am reading the POF thread on it where Mucus has answered laughably a few times. EVEN THE WOMEN DON'T LIKE THE CHANGE! LMAO.

The "issue" is all these "dirty old men" = easy scapegoat for the REAL "problem" it's nothing more than a sex site thinly veiled and trying to "maintain" the image of a "dating" site.

All Mucus needed to do was FORCE new users to sign up with choosing the ages they wish to contact them. But he didn't and most likely won't as he wants the site to get more users THEN find out as men past a certain age that they are limited to whom they can contact to boost membership count EVEN if they delete their accounts shortly after due to the nonsense.

So far I haven't seen one female poster on there who can't get emails from younger men nor the same with any female unable to contact a man of any age. They're all discussing it in the wide open thread.

As if the problem Marcus is trying to say is ONLY the "creepy disgusting old men" and nothing else. He knows damn well the site is a hookup site of ALL ages.

I'm sure he'll do NOTHING about all the sex advertisers that show when users join and stay on there. I fvcked around on there for awhile and left that cesspool a year and a half ago. NONE of those chicks are worth anything in life nor have anything to offer anyone but their own c0ck count, various mental financial etc. issues and possible STDs.

Men who clean up on there need to keep on keepin on. It is what it is on POF. Nothing more.
