I think a lot of people already stopped reading it for awhile now. IIRC, their subscriber numbers have been dropping consistently a long time.
I do not think Playboy, as a magazine is still relevant. I think they stopped the magazine production last year and are just marketing the brand as a lifestyle brand. Not too sure how putting a tranny or gay being on the cover is attracting more dudes or straight females to their brand, but whatever.

Ever see video of Graham Chapman's funeral (of Monty Python fame)? His old writing partner John Cleese eulogized him, and said some of the most terrible things about him. Everybody laughed. It seemed so appropriate for him, and oddly touching.
