"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I head out back to campus tomorrow and in my first year I chatted up some chicks in class and the cafeteria last year but from the ones who were receptive enough I did invited them to go with me, but just to frat parties(didn't have much success, from which i learned why.), but since i think i'm a little bit more aware compared to freshman year what are other good places besides the cafeteria to meet up with a girl you got a number from, especially in class? I mean on campus there's bowling, billards, rock climbing, Movie Night in the theatre on campus, and maybe the dorms themselves but most college girls from what i saw 1st year seemed like the type of girls who would just go to parties, and not do other events much else except the necessities and clubs. Any other suggestions?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

The bus worked for me, when we all got off I'd ask them a question about what class they were going to and guage their reactions, etc. I guess pretty much anywhere you see girls could work. Alot (though not all, and esp. not the really attractive ones who get hit on all the time) of women appreciate the fact that a man finds them desirable enough to make an effort to meet them and probably don't care where you approach as long as you do. That is my view at least. Would you prefer it if women who were attracted to you only stopped to talk to you on the bus or after class instead of on the sidewalk? Chances are you won't mind where/how they approach, as long as women find you desirable enough to make an effort.
