I'm new to NYC and I moved here a few months back. I've had a couple of dates since, but I haven't really gotten into the swing of things. Can anybody tell me some good places to meet great women? I'm 23, in pretty good shape. I'm not a bar-hound, so I don't like bars, partly because I don't drink. I'd rather prefer a more casual atmosphere. Any ideas from New Yorkers here...

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

When night times comes... it's a different ballgame What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Yeah, as Dellsky said, get/borrow a dog for a jog (one that isn't named Sex) and jog during the daytime. During the nightime I advise against most pickups in dimly lighted public outdoor areas (a park, the streets) because women are much more protective of themselves in that environment (one of my friends tried a pickup in central park at night, he got maced/pepper sprayed/whatever irritating spray women carry around with them).
Where in NYC are you located? Though you can go almost anywhere at anytime with a car/taxi/subway, your local area is where you'll be hanging out most of the time, you can't go to the other side of the city EVERY day. And yeah, the weather was pretty horrible, hopefully we'll get at least a week of sunshine this summer.
