"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

On my holidays I decided to deliver pizzas as I used to work for the company when I was younger. Its only a side job while waiting for uni to start. One thing I realised is that it's great practice for cold approaches and starting convos out of nothing. Also you see so many random incidents that makes the job a lil interesting.

I suggest that if you're young, need cash, need to work on people skills, cold approaches and confidence then you might want to have a look at doing deliveries. (Hey you can be the famous "Milkman" if pizza aint your thing)

Also I could've got number closes but wasn't sure if its a good idea or I might get in trouble with the boss.

This job is an OK way to meet people and have a lil chat then maybe see them in the ONLY nightclub in this bumtown I'm in.

On a couple of my deliveries I had to deliver to people INSIDE a strip club. And the one in my town is kinda dead so the moment I stepped in I was the only one in there with about 3 or 4 skankified females. Ive got a question. Before I came in they saw me and they looked like they were talking about me (girly chats). As soon as I came in this cutie comes up to me asking if I could break her $10 into two $5 notes. WTF the strip club would have a lot of cash therefore she could done it there and did'nt have to come to me. So what was her intentions? Was that an obvious come on or just an innocent normal thing. Man I coulda slapped myself but I was way too tired to be thinking on the fly. Oh well shes only a stripper aint nuttin great about that.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I live in Tassie and just got my liscence a week ago. I noticed that they need 10 more pizza delivery boy's at Domino's in the paper today. It's $10 an hour and about $1.50 a km. Are you working for domino's? What questions did they ask you when you rang up? Also do you have to work friday's and saturday's(I'm guessing there the busiest times)? And how does it improve your conversation/confidence wouldn't it just be quickly handing over the pizza and then going to the next person? But yeah I'm thinking about it until uni starts because I don't have anything to do.

while i agree with the fact that jobs can really open you up and get you comfortable in talking to people, i'd like to suggest retail work as well as a powerful outlet for one to exercise smalltalk

pizza delivery talk seems to be minimal, hello / bye chat to customers, whereas there is alot more chance to open up and talk to ppl in retail. whwther you' getting them sizes, discussing the merits of what you're selling, asking them how the weather is outside, etc it really helps

i know that since starting work at a retail store in a shopping centre, i've opened up alot to the female ppl i meet in the centre, and have made several friends with some nice HB's who work at diff stores for a store discount ;)

yes, i know i said FRIENDS, but thats becuase i'm secure in my current r'ship atm. but its such a boost to get your tongue talking to ppl and connecting and meeting more ppl. so yeah, retail is awesome for that purpose too

Well I was thinking, for the people out there who just can't simply approach anyone I suggest this is a good practice because simply the fact that you can't wuss out or else you will lose your job.

You get your variety of people on the job. You can get over fear of meeting people at the basic level. I've to ghettos, parties, drunken people, redneck and all sorts of oddballs. And oh yea you meet girls too.

But heck theres nothing else to do on my holidays and everything else cost too much money so instead of lying down watching movies I prefer working.

WBAFC I work at Eagle Boys. I drive their company car so I dont have to ruin my beast and smell like pizza. I only get $12.33 an hour working 5-6 hr shifts. I've worked there before so convincing the new owner wasn't that hard. I had the job the next day.
