I had acne in HS, and i hope u never get it. I made me so shy and quiet with females b/c i was embarassed by it.
Go to acne.org for a face cleaning regime, it should help prevent breakouts.

Hopefully you don't get it. I have it and it sucks. Constant battle...Vile genes. *Ahem* Anyway, if you do get it, try to not let if effect you too much because you'll see other people with it too.

Is it really worth the risk? Wash your hands, try not to touch your face, and wash your face when you brush your teeth. I've had moderate to bad acne since I started puberty and it's only going away now. I'm really not a bad looking guy, but the acne seriously detracts from any person's appearance. I wasn't very good about keeping my face clean in the early stages of puberty and I'm still dealing with the repurcussions.

Except how, washing your hands is in no way correlated to "having acne" in the genetic sense...

Nice.

This might be right for most people, but it is correct that some people are genetically predisposed to have acne. My roommate has 3 topical "cremes" or whatever (he calls them his makeup :D) that he gets from his dermatologist. If he runs out of any 1 of them, he will start to break out. When he stopped taking all three for a trip to Guatamala, he came back with severe acne. I am pretty sure washing his hands would not save him.

If you start breaking out, start using heavy acne meds right away. Really. Right away. If you wait your going to have red spots all over your face that won't go away for months even with acne cream.

I didn't get my pimples till I reached late 14. I was already deep into puberty. It's better to go see a dermatologist now for preventative measures. Use a face wash twice a day and wnything the derm says. Better safe then sorry. I thought i'd never happen to me.

But if you get them, be careful. It is not worth attempting to scub your face off, the best tip, if you get spots and not severe acne is to get a nice dark tan, then they tend not to show up as much. Id agree with trying not to touch your face, but it doesnt really make a difference, diet may have some correlation and you should aim to have greasy stuff less often but more for health. Diet does not masssively affect your skin, i have naturally greasy skin so its great as it tends to make tanning easier.

I still have lots of spots but its only the boys that ever mention them to dig at me, when i properly show them up. Be confident, if its properly bad acne get medication but if its spots. . . i didnt want the side effects of chapped skin, dry lips and general unhealthiness.

If you are on your game and happy with yourself then it does not really make much difference, unless they are ridiculously bad.

Especially as most girls have some spots and wear make up to try and hide it, leading to further breakouts, themselves (even the fit ones sometimes have them). Anyway most girls like shutting their eyes when they kiss so no worries (personally its more intimate when you gaze deep into each others eyes but . . .

Anyway acne/spots/pimples whatever are a good thing as it tends to be due to a hormone imbalance ie an overabundance of testosterone, so therefore you can ooze (literally :D - sorry couldnt avoid it) testosterone. If you have them its time to start taking up sports.

If i can be successful, so can you.

I've been fighting f*cking acne for the last 5 years... it comes and goes... till I finally decided to take Accutane... I'm on my sixth month, it's doing fine... my cheeks and chin still have marks from acne, but my whole body and my forehead is finally clean...

When you have a little acne, the person that gets more disgusted at it is yourself. There were days that my face looked terrible, I felt embarassed talking to people, yet to them it didn't matter much... but, it's always better not to take a chance and have a clean face...

Diet can play a huge role in some people's acne. Dairy products, simple sugars (sodas), and chocalate can make SOME people break out terribly. Personally sodas and milk always made me break out.

I used to have acne pretty bad until I went to my doctor and he prescribed this cream called benzamycin. It had to be refrigerated and it had a very strong chemical smell, but it worked wonders. My acne completely cleared up. That was about 3 years ago...now I use this stuff called Benzaclin. It doesn't have to be refrigerated, and it works just as good. If I stop using it, even for a day, my acne starts to flare up again. I don't mind having to use it though...it's convenient, and it gives me a hell of a lot more confidence.

Wrong.

Food has nothing to do with you breaking out.
Acne is largely based on stress, like herpes. Let me put it this way - if I get one pimple, I always get three more. Why? Because I stress out over it. If you drink milk and then stress over getting acne, you will. It's like herpes - outbreaks occur at exam time for a lot of students.

www.acne.org has, in my opinion, saved my sex life. However, with summer rolling around I'm going to go see a dermatologist. The acne.org regimen is a pain because it's so time consuming and doesn't mix well with sweat or anybody touching your face for several hours.

I thought i was saved from pimples, my brothers got them but it didnt strike me at 14 like them. But when i turned 16 the pimples decided to show up, not to many but enough to present a problem. They can come at any age in your adelesance.

While you don't have them take some precautions like getting a daily anti acne face wash and USE it, wash your face, dont touch your face, and dont let your face touch the pillow to much while your sleeping. If they start to come up then i reccomend you look into some more serious medication.
