I've looked into speed reading and even photo reading in the past (have the book only), but never fully mastered any of them.

I recently got an email from a guru I respect and he and many others were saying how good they thought photoreading was. I am thinking of buying the full course, but was wondering what anyones experience has been with this.

Jariel, I know you had used it before. What is your opinion? If anyone else has comments I'd love to hear them as well. I probably would be more skeptical but this particular guru who's pimping it is someone I respect alot.

I didn't have a lot of luck with photoreading to start with, but then I read an ebook on Photoreading by Paul Scheele and it seemed to click.

I had moments where I felt I wasn't taking anything in, but I persisted and it started to make sense. I've been using these techniques ever since and can fly through books now. The great thing is, once you get to grips with it, you can skim over a book and skip all the filler rubbish and focus on the useful content (which is usually a very small percentage of most books).

However, you might be disappointed to know that it's not quite what it sounds like. You won't be able to just look at a page and instantly comit it to memory. Basically, you learn to read the same way you look at a photo or a painting.

The worst part is that these courses are usually really expensive if you get them from some kind of "guru" figure, like in excess of $100. So any way of getting it free, I recommend taking it. Better yet, I highly recommend the book by Paul Scheele.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
