"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Hey guys this will be my first post on the Don Juan forum, probubly not my last either :p. So ya it goes like this, I really like this girl, we've hung out alot but mostly with a couple of her friends never really got any time together where its just me and her. But I'll work on that in the future.

But I said I would give her a call and actually talk for more then probubly an hour or so... anyone got some tips or ideas to keep this conversation interesting for a long time???

Sorry in advance if there was already a thread devoted to this. If so plz hook me up with the link!

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Read the DJ Bible on conversation skills, it'll help even on the phone. But i'd suggest to not talk too long on the phone and keep conversation on the phone/computer to a minimum. This is because both of you will most likely lose interest (I experienced it myself), meaning that an hour of conversation on the phone doesn't have as much meaning as a 5min conversation inperson. Talking inperson, dating inperson, is very important to keep a good relationship with this girl. So my advice is yea, you should give her a call but once you do , set up a date where it is ONLY the two of you. You say that you'll work on it in the future, well its just like saying "I'll do it later", when the whole time it really meant "I'll do it when I'm too late".

Luke I was in your situation not too long ago, and trust me, long convosare the LAST thing you want lol. Also, the type of girl she is playes a BIG part of what you should do. Some girls LOVE talking on the phone, and can ramble on and on about absolutely nothing, and talk to whoever they can, every night. For these girls, I suggest talking to on a regualr basis, since you really will not have to put in too much effort, and also you really won't lose much interest in each other, because it actually might increase it. However, there are girls who do not talk on the phone with guys frewuently. These girls lack that "skill" that enables them to go on and on for hours talkin about absolutely nothing. In these conversations, YOU will be foreced to keep them going, so here is where you might possibly have her lose interest. If theres not many exciting things to talk about, I wouldnt call that often / at all, in fear of being stuck with the awkard moment after "Hey, whats up." Well like I said before, her personality plays a large role in your decision. Hope I was helpful, and that your situation turns out well. Keep us updated . Sarge on ! ;]

ok, something I dont get, are long conversations ever supposed to happen? maybe later on, or will she lose interest every single time? cause that sounds retarded to me its like avoiding her just to keep the interest going, am I supposed to keep doing that?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I personally get bored with hour long phone conversations

Long conversations DO happen, just try to keep them live, not over the phone. I always make up some BS excuse as to why I've got to go after 20 minutes or so. It doesn't come off as "avoiding her" and if you leave the conversation in the high points, she will be left with the feeling of "wow" and long for more.

Long conversations do this. They reveal basically everything. They rob you of stuff to actually talk about in person. They eventually lead to "so what do you want to talk about". Etc. Sure, the first time it might seem great, but you will get sick of it and bored with her after a while. The same goes for how she'll feel about you.

Yeah man best advice ever is keep it short. There was this one girl i really like (oneitis) and i had her in the palm of my hand for a while and then she gave me her phone number and i called her and everything went smooth for about the first 30 minutes. we were flirting and what have you and then eventually as time went on i could see her starting to lose interest. i wanted to stay on longer to see if i could redeem myself but then things just got worsse. since that phone call she hasnt been interested in me since. so just keep it short, and end on a good note when possible

lol, dammit I actually enjoy those long convos, I met this girl and got her email chatted with this girl all the time and she showed interest but now shes starting to lose it, so I guess being less available could help the situation in my case?

the part I dislike in all of this is that I actually enjoyed those convos.
