You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
I don't hate us nerds. Self loathing is not a good look.FairShake said:I prefer dogs...but I think that caring about it and writing an entire post about it and posting in a thread about it (myself included) is fvcking weird.
We're the nerds we hate. Seriously.
Funny, the cat I have was dumped on me by the first woman I was engaged to over ten years ago.Nutz said:I have 3 cats, 2 by choice and 1 my ex dumped on me.
Forget the cash, the cars, and the chiseled jawlines. Female desire operates on a completely different frequency. Primal. Subconscious. Triggers that bypass her logic and hit her on a gut level. Most guys are totally blind to them.
I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.
Then I decoded the psychology behind what actually makes women tick. 22 hard rules. Subtle behavioral shifts that rewired my entire reality. The anxiety evaporated. Women started leaning in. Investing. Chasing.
Carlos Xumas advocates being 70% masculine, 30% feminine. Or maybe it was 80/20, I don't remember the exact percentages. The point was you needed a little of the feminine to have women relate to you, to be 100% masculine would be too overbearing. If that's true, that means a guy could be "too manly". I'm not sure if he's right or not, but that's what he says.Appleade said:This is another one of those "only Alphas own/do [insert activity or object]" things.
When I was in high school, my math teacher was telling me a story about a famous bull fighter who was very well respected. If I can remember correctly, he was washing dishes while many fans stood outside of his house. His friend laments to him that washing dishes is not a very manly thing to do, and that he should avoid being seen doing it.
He responds "Anything I do is manly.
Cats may have more alpha qualities, but a dog would probably be the alpha between the two. Because in most cases a dog would kill a cat in a fight. Of course dogs are pack animals, so they know how to take up a beta position, while cats are independent.Lexington said:Cats display more alpha qualities. They don't need their owners at all really. They are perfectly capable of hunting their own prey and they don't need company although they will gladly take it if it suits them. Cats do what they want and they're not concerned with impressing anyone or anything.
Alpha qualities don't depend on size. Yes it is easier to be dominant and to assert your will if you are physically stronger, but that doesn't make you alpha. A cat displays more alpha qualities than a dog. Besides, strongest representatives of the feline family would absolutely maul any canine.zekko said:Cats may have more alpha qualities, but a dog would probably be the alpha between the two. Ah sh!t Ninja. Anytime you get a GF, the hamster is free.Naughty Ninja said:Damn my brothers and I had pretty much every standard pet you could have at different times.
Dogs: Boxer was the best we owned. Mutt, poodles (those things served to be teased by us..nasty little things..we were young..lol)
Cats: had many over the years.
Fish: I had SEVERAL tanks in my basement. 4 at one time. A LOT of Cichlids, HUGE cichlids, albino and blue channel catfish, redtail catfish, alligator gars, snakeheads, Freshwater ray, Wolf Fish, Electric catfish, Snakeheads, Clown Knife, Pike...pretty much every kind of big freshwater fish. Haven't had tanks in years. Need to get a few huge tanks setup again. Especially after seeing MonsterFishKeepers on youtube. Great pets.
Parrot: Worst pet ever. Noisy as HELL. Messy. And a waste of money. I'd never get a bird as a pet again. Had parakeets in pre teens. We pretty much wiped them out...
Rabbit: Another waste for a pet. Would never get one for a kid.
Hamsters: When really young. Used them as bean bags to toss around. Good for a kid. Unfortunately we were a little rough with them though.
Sankes: Columbian Red Tail Boa 9ft. and garter snake at another time. Good quiet pets. Red tail ate rats, chickens, rabbits.
I don't look too much into the dog cat thing. Have two dogs and two cats now. If a chick thought it was 'un-manly' to have cats as a pet...I'd just laugh it off.
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
I agree the cat has more alpha qualities, but put him against a dog and in most cases the dog is going to kill the cat (depends on the breed I suppose). I'm not sure if a cat could kill a dog. Which would make the dog the literal alpha there. Although you do hear about cases where there is a big dog who is subservient to the family cat.Lexington said:Alpha qualities don't depend on size. Alpha, in the sense that we're talking about here, is contextual. Of course, a muscled meathead would probably stomp me if I were to suddenly be pitted against him in a one-on-one enclosed brawl.zekko said:I agree the cat has more alpha qualities, but put him against a dog and in most cases the dog is going to kill the cat (depends on the breed I suppose). Obviously a lion or tiger would kill a dog, but we're talking about pets here. Not too many people own a lion or tiger as a pet, not if they're in their right mind anyway.
Well, we're not talking alpha in the sense of picking up chicks, are we?Appleade said:Alpha, in the sense that we're talking about here, is contextual
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
I tend to think that the cat would probably win in a skirmish, it would scratch the dog, then they would disengage. But in a fight to the death I think the dog would win - the dog's jaws are the most lethal weapon either has. But hell, what do I know? I'm no animal expert.Lexington said:Pound for pound, cats are better fighters. I'd put my money on a 10lb cat over a 15 lb dog if you put them in close quarters and had them fight.
Well, maybe the dogs are the bigger "pvssies".San Jose California said:That's exactly what the hell I'm saying. Anyone who thinks cats are more girly than dogs, simply hasn't seen an actual cat fight. Cat fights are way more savage than dog fights.
The cats will leap 4 feet in the air and fight in a ball in midair with fur flying everywhere and loud ass sounds. And the fights can last hours. Dogs, and while you're at it, humans, are pussies compared to cats when it comes to fighting.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
