"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I had sworn to stick to field reports from now on, but I want to share an experience.

I use the campus phone, which can only call other on-campus phones, and I don't have a cell phone (gasp!) so I use a Sprint prepaid calling card. The result is, however, that when I call chicks on their cell phones, unless its the type of girl who doesn't mind that she can't see the number, SOME CHICKS NEVER PICKED UP.

And for the whole of the first year i didn't know this, and wondered why the hotties never seemed to answer their cell phones when I called, whereas I had no problems with email or extensions.

So I call H yesterday, and after about 3 rings, a gruff male voice answers and says "who is this! Why is your number unavailable!"
I give my name. He says my name to H, and then the calling card cuts off on me. now this chick baffled me originally because I knew that she left her phone on all the time but I could never seem to reach her, and then I understood why, stumbling across a fundamental truth:

MOST HOT WOMEN GET SUSPICIOUS OR DO NOT PICK UP IF THEY CANNOT SEE WHO IS CALLING THEM.

Duh! Took me long enough to figure that out.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
