I don't recommend PPVs often, but this one is a buy. This will have roughly 100X more action than Mayweather/DLH.

My $250 is on Pavlik straight by the way with a small bet on Taylor by decision, though I wouldn't recommend the play to you guys. I ended up with even odds through successful parlays, it's too risky at -185.

I can't wait. The Ghost is legit. Both really nice guys and its a shame they have to fight each other, I just hope Jermaine isn't permanently injured tomorrow night.

The thing I hate most about this fight is the under cards and their entorage's. They come to all the clubs a aren't even all that impressive....It's like a big joke around for the vegas locals. Lol!"Look at those guys, they MUST be under cards, with those suits!" It's one thing being an actual superstar in vegas as opposed to being a pretender!:crackup:

PRMoon: do you enjoy the sport or are you only interested in how it affects your (hotel?) business?

I tell ya, you probably have some awesome insights into details like which fighter is partying the night before, how they slept, body language, if they looked sick from cutting weight, clashing with trainer, etc. We could really use your insights down at the betting forums, we have some great cappers there and consistently win but none can see the details you can.

I enjoy boxing but my primary focus is the effect it has on the MGM. I am definatly one of the lucky few people in the world who really enjoys their place of work. I keep posting how I see alot of celebreties and athletes but in reality I meet and talk to even more then i post here.

Almost all of the fighter cut weight before their fights. They spend a crazy amount of time in our dry sauna and do leg lifts and punches after they've done about a half hour of cardio. I'm almost positive if you asked me to spy out two specific fighters, I could tell you their physical condition, what they're feeling like, if their having any conflicts, hell I could tell you what they had for breakfest. The only thing is I've signed several confidentiality agreements concerning such matters so it's unlikely i would disclose such information. It's not worth the job that l love so much.

Wow I had no idea they make you sign confidentiality agreements. Are you barred from betting on the fights as well? I mean people could just follow whatever bets you place.

And you don't have to answer this question, but I'm curious, do mobsters get the inside scoop on the details you mentioned?

Technically I can't make bets of any kind at any MGM Mirage property. That's over half of las vegas blvd. CAN I place bets? Ofcourse but if I win anything over $10,000 it will be forefit and go unpaid because the image it presents. Tourist and media hate to see casino employees win jack pots or make tremendous amount of money, their picture goes on the wall and then next thing you know people ONLY see winners who live in las vegas and work at casinos. That's all bad for buisness.

I did clean up on the superbowl but it was only like 2K I walked out with. That's like under the radar amount and event. The race and sports book lost a ton so everybody was making money since there were so many high hand pays and there aren't that many checks done. Boxing fights, MMA, and most Races are checked with scruitiny though.

The first Pavlik vs. Mayweather fight was one of the best I've seen in a long time. Let's hope for a repeat performance tonight. I have no interest in the undercard...

Im actually more impressed with Taylor than with Pavlik. I wasn't keeping score, but had it pretty much even after 10. Taylor seemed to be fighting to survive rather than win in 11 and 12, which is a shame, the fight was up for grabs as I saw it.

Taylor improved everything: jab, left hook, footwork, moving in and out of punching range, keeping his hands up. I was most suprrised by how much power he put into his punches, I figured he would be scared of coutner right hands and throw pitty-pat shots.

If anyone here lives in Arkansas and talks to JT, give him my respect. I won my wager, and both guys boosted their status. Taylor will be back.

Most fighters eat 5 meals the day before a fight (all the same routine meals they usually eat before all fights) and they relax, sit down with their music in their ears. Nothing really to spy on. Only the eccentric few go out partying the night before (but they dont drink and if they are night owles, is it really such a bad thing?)

As for how a fighter is feeling, sometimes you cannot tell until you are in the ring how you feel. And barely any fighters SAY they are feeling bad before a fight, it doesnt go with the phsycology they learn.

So I dont think working at a Casino is really going to have much of an impact. Heck, cant fighters bet on themselves?

You might be right but again it's how things would look for the casino if several of the casino employees were to win tons of money...bad for buisness. None of us are suppose to spend too much time around fighters for any reason because...well lets say "hypothetically" a fighter were to go to the spa and suddenly fall ill or something like that. I'm sure I don't need to make any mob references but there are ways sure things can be attained through casino employees when it comes to any bouts. Again not like something like that has happened...recently anyway. I digress, Casinos are large organizations. My property alone has over 2,500 people working in and around it. Mind you those are Just the hotel casino staff, there's likely another few hundred or so working in the independant shops and outsorced for airport transit and what not. So uniformity and appearance is a CONSTANT concern of the 7 or so vice presidents and my CE0.

Yes you CAN bet on yourself as a boxer. It's actually encouraged to get more people to gamble on the fight. Boxers aren't paid by the casino so if they win a ton, nobody can finger the property.
