What career? He's 73 and realistically he ain't going to be getting any mega bucks roles any more. Maybe a character actor part here or there and he doesn't need that and has nothing to prove.

When Ron Moore was hired as a writer for Season 3, Patrick went up to him and told him he wanted Picard to get laid more.
And he did...not as much as kirk.

And this younger woman is nothing new for him. He was dating an even younger girl years ago...and it didn't last long either.

Career killer? You might not know this but Patrick is VERY wealthy from his successful career in TV & Movies...he doesn't ever
need to work again.

He's supposed to reprise his Professer X role in the new X-Men movie. Not sure that qualifies as a mega buck role though.

Another actor who favored younger women was Charlie Chaplin. He married two 16 year old girls and an 18 year old. He also married Paulette Goddard, who was in her mid twenties - but she was the hottest of them all IMO.
