I think what Scormus here is saying does a good job of explaining why a lot of women are drawn to successful men. It isn't necessarily gold digging (although gold diggers exist), they are drawn to the status. And they like having a boyfriend/husband that they can brag about to thier friends.

Exactly. Women are attracted to great wealth and status/fame and some/many of them will disregard a man's age, hair and looks. But that doesn't women will disregard age and looks if a man doesn't have wealth and status.

You know what young, good looking guys with wealth and status get? they get sometimes millions of young women screaming and crying for them.

You could argue it's not gold digging per se, because before all this feminism older men who weren't even very wealthy or famous had status and dated younger women pretty regularly.

What I've learned from years of dating hot and wealthy women is that they are often even more golddigging than average income/poor hot women. Once they have become accustomed to a certain high standard of living, they feel like they are entitled to even more.

I've had this said to me by more than one date: "Im hot and have my own money, why should I settle I only deserve to be with someone who's rich." You may all be shaking your heads to this and wondering how a woman can be so blatant but they are well known for saying stupid things like this to your face. I don't get it either maybe they think that being honest is winning points with you who knows.

Working around super rich people all day, I've come to realize that the money they have is never enough, almost always the more they have the more of it they want.

In this case, I think it's a combination of his wealth, fame, and status combined with a built in fetish this woman has for older men, bald heads, and/or accents. In other words, a perfect storm of golddigging and old man fetish that came together all at once when these two met.

Nothing to do with his personality, but that's just a guess. This marriage definitely won't last very long, but then again you can say this about any famous hollywood marriage and still be 100% correct.
