If ole Rex was to start messing with a chick, but my "love," for "x," chick is only a ruse to get at some funds, and the lady comes to realize this, should she file a complaint and I'm found guilty, ole Rex will be going to jail for some sort of fraud and I will have to pay restitution.
However, if a chick is philandering with her entire block and she winds up pregnant, (knowing there's some doubt as to the true paternity of the child,) and puts the baby off on me, I would have no recourse as far as "being made whole," in regards to the money I would have spent for a child that I thought was mine.
Unlike the the idiot broad who was thinking with her heart and fell "victim," to a confidence game, paternity fraud is more insidious and effed up because most dudes (even if they relationship with the baby mama isn't the best,) will believe the chick if she say's the baby is his. Women who commit paternity fraud should be held criminally and civilly liable. She should be forced to re-pay all the money that the "baby daddy," spent on the child and she should go to jail for committing fraud.
