How does one go about patenting an idea? If it's a "technological" patent, one that doesn't really involve any "concrete" substances, can it be patented? And to what degree of description and detail must a prototype of it be required before submitting it to be patented?

How much does it cost to patent an idea, and are there any ways around this (such as ways to help fund it)?

i could be wrong but i thought it had to be detaild to the extreeme. I know my buddy invented something for the buldowsers, and he had to submit detaild drawing (which included, material hardness, and even specify the welded areas and the specifications for the weld.......). I'm not sure haw much he paid (i was under the impresion it was quiet a bit.)

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
