"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I'm asking for some party tips here... I have seen them before, but now I don't find them. Does anybody know where these party tip threads are? Please post the link in this thread, if you find what I'm asking for!

Thanks!

By the way, if you've got some party tips of your own, add them here.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Learn to make really good, really cool, really fancy drinks.

Pick up a cookbook or bbq book or something. ppl love good food (okay, you didn't mention what kinds of parties)

Get a smoke machine.

Get a few hubbly thingys...

Cusion corner. Fill a room or corner with lotsa pillows. I got this from "The Game" - tried it myself. Much much fun with the ladies.

Have a good audio system, and for pete's sake get lots of good music. :p It's best if you run your music on a dvd player playing a mp3 dvd. then set to shuffle. DO not use a pc or laptop and run mp3s from that. :-/ People get drunk at parties... drunk people spill/pee/puke all over the place.

If you're having parties outside, get some nice outdoor furniture. Camping benches are nice - methinks.

Oh.. my bad. :p

Party chix. Hmm... well, be the life of the party and they will flock to you, I guess. Go around talking to everyone, cracking jokes... talk to everyone except the hot girls. As soon as you see one of 'em noticing you, or even approaching you, then you know what to do.

have fun. be loud, use your hands when you speak. that's pretty much it.

i know what not to do at a party. that is be a wallflower.

basically be an attention *****. but not an obvious one. don’t act like a a-hole.

Like and be friendly to everybody at the party. be happy all the time. do silly things. just let go. i usually drink a beer to loosen me up. That’s all there is too it. the more you do it the better you will get and you will start to develop a feeling for how people respond to you and what you do and say. You will be able to filter out the things that work and don’t. story telling is great for a party. I was at a party a week ago and I told the people about GG allin (look him up he’s great convo material for a party). I talked about him for like 30 min non stop and everybody listened, especially the females. After that I had a sort of rapport with everybody there since they all heard me speak and kind of knew me,

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Why should I talk to everyone except the hot girls?

Dude,

Approaching girls at parties is the easiest type of approach in my pinion.

Put it this way, she is there because she eigher knows the host, or is with someone that knows the host. And the same applies to you. So here are the advantages:

1. She will not be threatened by you. you are in a comfortable and "safe" ;) environement. So she will be more open to approaches.

2. The fact that you are both there gives you something to talk about. You already have something in common.

What I do is I do the typical group dynamics because you rarely get people standing around by them selves at hour parties.

Isolate the target. There are much more quiet locations in a house than a club/bar.

If the party is lame, suggest a change of venue. Taking her to a different location will do wonders for building a strong connection.

My problem is that I don't go to many house parties! and the ones I normally get invited to are full of guys!

The reason why I made this post is that I'm going to a party where I know all of the people that are coming this weekend. There was this girl I was into the months before christmas. Didn't have the courage or self-belief to make a move on her then, but decided, after having read so much here, to make a move when we got back to school in January. However, I got to know that she had gotten a boyfriend at new years eve.

The fact that she got together with him at new years eve, could indicate that their relationship is not very serious yet. Now, I don't know this guy, and I have no idea if they knew each other before or anything.

But anyway, at this party, I know he won't be there. So, I guess there's a little opportunity for me. Got any tips?
