I'm having a housewarming party at my new townhouse tomorrow and it looks like there will be a pretty good turnout.

Chicks- check

Best bro's and business associates- check

Jacuzzi in proper working order- check

3 liters or more of RUM, 3L of VODKA, .75 Jager, white wine, red wine, couple of cases of beer- check

Juices, tonic, sodas, lemons, limes- check

Potato chips and dip, crackers, nuts, etc.- check

Music- hopefully I'll figure that out by tomorrow

Tomorrow I need to pick up ice, a cooler, some Red Bull (nasty sh!t but necessary), and some more plastic cups.

What am I missing?

Haven't hosted a party in awhile. Help a brotha out.

In this Economy?
you got enough places for people to sit?
make sure seat form a circle so everyone is not facing your TV.

have you hidden everything of value?
Not just an issue of stealing but an issue of drunken breaking

Lock your bedroom...unless you want radom dudes getting between your sheets

i dont know how many people you are having but it didnt seem like you have enough alcohol per person. Assume 5-6 per guy, 3-4 per girl...keep averages up because ppl dont always finish their drinks (a-holes)

most importantly...cups...and garbage bags.

I don't know if you have a half bathroom, but if so let your guests use that. It's better than letting them use your regular bathroom that you use every morning.

If not, hide every bathroom product except a bar of soap and a couple rolls of toilet paper (last thing you need is someone stealing all your soap and/or toilet paper and then the next day you have neither). Plus, while I, along with most sane people wouldn't care, I heard of an idiot that likes to put Nair into hair conditioner that's used by a man. Chances are he isn't the only one. By the way, Nair is a product for removing hair, or so I've heard. I don't know for sure, since I've never been terribly interested in getting stuff to remove hair.

Plus that probably isn't the only possible prank that's downright evil.

In any case, if you use something embarrassing like acne killer, is that something that people really need to know?

I'm not asking you to be paranoid, just cautious.

Don't forget; if there are any skeletons in your closet that you don't want people to know about, make absolutely sure there's no way for them to find out (i.e. a gigantic Barbie collection, mementos of a failed past relationship, your pornography collection, etc.).

Another thing that works well is try to make a makeshift dancing area with lights and music. After everyone gets drunk, dancing is so much fun... and it turns the women on.

Since I live downtown close to the clubs, next time I am going to set it up so that we party at my place early, hit a club for a couple of hours, then BACK to my place to finish the night. It was a great party but everyone wanted to go dancing so they cleared out early on me.

Unfortunately the next morning I looked at my wood floors and they are dented all to hell from the chicks heels. Damn, and there wasn't a one female there over 120 lbs. My floors must be CHEAP. No dancing at my place, I'm afraid.

i could have told you.. if you have wood floors and there are going to be a lot of people, get some type of rug... and be prepared to strip and wax the floors after the party.. Stripping and Buffing was my first job ever.. paid pretty damn good, but wood floors espically in homes are not good for lots and lots of traffic, espically dancing

Do you know what kinda wood it is? Lots of folks are putting in woods like bamboo and cork because the contractors talk up that they're renewable resources, they look beautiful and you save a few bucks. They're just not very rugged.

Or maybe they stuck you with Pergo ;)

Either way, congrats on a good party.

It's likely just a builder's grade engineered hardwood.

I had a fairly inexpensive laminate (Pergo type) in my last condo and it would have held up just fine. The wood here is just cheap. I will probably rip it out eventually.

BTW....I thought bamboo was pretty tough stuff....it feels like it in the showroom. As for cork, I've seen it in a commercial application and it seems to hold up fine. Maybe I should just go back to carpet. Yea, right.
