Just finished watching it again with my wife (her first time), holy fvck she loved it. I think this is the first depiction in an American film about a Western/Asian relationship. Highly recommend this movie, the Asian co-star is totally feminine, supportive and never tries to show up her male counterpart/love interest. Its really refreshing from the constant barrage of 'I'm a female ninja and I can do whatever a man can do' garbage that we are so used to seeing in movies today. Beyond that, wish they would have shown China and Russia's Jaeygers a little more, those things looked really bad ass... but oh well. There were absolutely no feminist over-tones and the guy never becomes a sh1t face mangina. No-one looks to females for command advice or anything, really well done and the first movie in a long time to depict Asian women accurately.

I wish all movies could depict women as supportive to men. At no time does she try and take command from the man, its always in support OF the men.
