Being a "man" and coming into your masculinity, isn't always easy, however. I DO think you (not YOU specifically - all men) may need to focus on it separately. Owning yourself isn't enough. Some things take work and growth.

However nothing could be more intoxicating than a man who is free spirited, AND unquestionably masculine.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I was always masculine because of this drive to dominance in me. I even tried to prove that I had a feminine side in accordance with the fashion, but that drive to win, be the best, get what I want was always there and didn't need to be cultivated. Perhaps I was lucky. Anyway the real effort was going AGAINST it, which nearly destroyed me. Perhaps you'd call that cultivating my sexuality -- in that I had to decide what would be the path I would take, and I finally chose the path of sexuality. I had a strong drive to the "light side" in me too.... that is, be gentle to all things etc... but in the end, it was more artificial, more like me trying to conform: gentleness came out of fear, while my drive to good conflict is what comes out when I'm at peace with myself.

I think what all people need is to come into themselves. If they want sex then they must simply end the conflict within themselves, destory that part which doesn't want sex. Or they could turn to the "light side" and lose their testosterone. Both are victories of a sort. People need to be themselves, and it's not such a simple question.
