We have two parts of ourselves. One that imagines the wildest dreams wants us to achieve the highest goals and to leave a legacy behind. Another part of us that usually takes over right away is our fear of failure, humiliation and rejection. I call that part us our inner-worst self.
If you are not where you imagine yourself to be that means you let that part of yourself control you more. Keep fighting, I promise; you will get to where you want to go.
Only way to overcome this is to face it head on. One perfect way to fight your inner-worst self on daily basis is to exercise. When you workout you not only exercising your body, you are exercising your mind and you face your inner-worst self. The quitter inside you, the one that says, “I want to stop”, the one that tells you “I can’t”, “Its too hard”. Face your inner worst self. If you quit as soon as this voice tells you to, then this attitude will spread into the rest of my life. The way to fighting this is simple.
It comes in three simple words.
DO ONE MORE.
These three words will help you in all aspects of your life.
DO ONE MORE.
One more push up.
One more squat.
One more minute.
Push it through. Yell it. DO ONE MORE!!! Yell outloud. DO ONE MORE.
This attitude will spread into the rest of your life. Start applying this principle to other aspects of your lifestyle.
One more girl to approach.
One more sales call.
One more hour to work on this project.
The quality of your life will increase.
We are capable of amazing physical feats; we are also capable of amazing mental abilities. Do not cut yourself short. Don’t settle for anything less then the best.
Keep training and working out. Keep silencing this voice inside your head and you will achieve great things in your life. I promise you.
