Here is a PRIME example of what I mean by the dumbing down of America by the powers that be-mainly the Federal Reserve, all in an attempt to steal our resources, our money, our freedom. We now have a Muslim sympathizer for a President, and we are bending over backwards so as to not "offend" them. So we get idiotic tv shows, pointless music, sex, garbage on the internet.....to make people apathetic and to not care about what is really going on in our country. Here you have two Muslims, changing flights all over the place, flying INTERNATIONAL-which is expensive as hell-with $7000 on the one guy when he was without a job for a long time and then worked as a conveinance store clerk, caught with box cutters, knives, watches taped together, cell phones taped to pepto bismo bottles, and yet the govt has the freaking nerve to say "Nope, nothing to see here, these weren't terrorists on a dry run, people traveling with cell phones taped to bottles happens all the time". WTFFFFF????????

Probably not a dry run for a terrorist attack. Now everyone go back to sleep like good little children and the government will take care of everything.

AP source: Unlikely that 2 men plotting terror

By EILEEN SULLIVAN, Associated Press Writer Eileen Sullivan, Associated Press Writer – 50 mins ago

WASHINGTON – The FBI probe of two men arrested in Amsterdam after suspicious items turned up in one of the men's luggage is finding they were probably not on a test run for a future terror attack, a U.S. official said Tuesday, casting doubt on earlier suggestions even as Dutch authorities held the pair on suspicion of conspiring to commit a terrorist act.

The U.S. does not expect to charge the men, a law enforcement official said. The two men arrested in Amsterdam — both traveling to Yemen — did not know each other and were not traveling together, a U.S. government official said.

The officials spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss the investigation.

The Amsterdam arrests came at a time of heightened alert less than two weeks before the ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks. Before officials began casting doubt on the test run theory, FBI agents were chasing down leads in Detroit, Birmingham, Ala.; and Memphis, Tenn., a law enforcement official said.

Earlier, U.S. officials said they were investigating whether the two men had been conducting a dry run for a potential terrorist attack. But as the probe evolved, officials said that appeared unlikely.

Both of the detained men missed flights to Dulles International Airport from Chicago, and United Airlines then booked them on the same flight to Amsterdam, the U.S. government official said. The men were sitting near each other on the flight, but not together.

The men were not on any U.S. terror watch lists, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told CNN Tuesday.

When Customs officials discovered one passenger was not on the flight from Dulles to Dubai, they called the plane back to the gate and removed his luggage. It was then they discovered suspicious items in his bag, a cell phone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle, multiple cell phones and watches taped together, and a knife and box cutter, according to another U.S. official who had been briefed on the investigation.

Kip Hawley, the former Transportation Security administrator, said it is not unusual to find items like watches and cell phones bound together on flights to countries like Yemen. He said this would always catch the screener's eye. In 2007, TSA alerted screeners that suspicious items found at U.S. airports may indicate that terrorists were conducting dry runs. Screeners are deliberately on the lookout for such items.

None of the items found on the men or in their luggage violated U.S. security rules. But the items and the men's changing travel itinerary raised concern that it may have been a deliberate test of the U.S. aviation security system to determine what would raise red flags.

A U.S. official identified the men as Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al Soofi and Hezam al Murisi. Al Soofi had a Detroit address. Alabama's director of homeland security, Jim Walker, said he had been living in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and working at a convenience store for about the last three months. He said there was nothing that al Soofi had done in Alabama that brought him to the attention of Alabama officials.

Al Soofi was questioned by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration as he went through security in Birmingham, Ala., Sunday on his way to Chicago, one of the officials said. He told the authorities he was carrying a lot of cash. Screeners found $7,000 on him, but he was not breaking any law by carrying that much money. It is not unusual for people to carry large amounts of cash when they travel to Third World countries.

Al Soofi was supposed to fly from Chicago to Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia and then on to Dubai, one of the officials said. But when he got to Chicago, he changed his travel plans to take a direct flight to Amsterdam, while his luggage went on to Virginia.

On international flights, passengers and their luggage must be headed toward the same destination, according to U.S. policy.

Al Murisi also changed his travel plans in Chicago to take a direct flight to Amsterdam, raising suspicion among U.S. officials. Federal Air marshals were on the flight from Chicago to Amsterdam, a law enforcement official said.

The men were arrested Monday morning at Schiphol Airport after getting off a United Airlines flight from Chicago. Under Dutch law, the men can be held without charges for up to six days. No charges have been filed against the men in the U.S., a law enforcement official said.

Homeland Security spokeswoman Amy Kudwa said once officials found suspicious items in luggage associated with two passengers on Sunday night's flight, they notified the Dutch authorities.

"This could have been a test or it could have been an honest mistake, but the system in this case worked," said John Sullivan, managing partner of aviation security consulting firm Welsh-Sullivan Group of Dallas.

Security at Amsterdam's main airport has been boosted this year, after Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a Nigerian student, flew from Schiphol airport to Detroit on Christmas Day with explosives in his underwear. Abdulmutallab allegedly tried to detonate the explosives over the United States before being grabbed by passengers and crew.

After the Abdulmutallab security lapse, Schiphol ordered 60 new full body scanners to screen passengers flying to the United States. Those who do not pass through the scanners are patted down.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Well let's just see here. A cell phone taped to a Pepto Bismol bottle. Don't they use cell phones n stuff as detonators? Watches too maybe? Knives and boxcutters? That's a no no. My question is HTF did they get into the country? cordoncordon is right. We have evolved into a complacent, turn a blind eye, politically correct nation of sissies who have an administration that is not capable of protecting it's citizens. Moreover, our goverment thinks that they should be the ones who do everything and know what's best for us. Our politicians couldn't find their ass with both hands. I'll sleep better tonight knowing that my government takes care of me. "Mother" knows best.

Seriously, if a muslim acqaintence of yours told you he was going on a flight to Stockholm, and he was going to switch flights in Chicago but leave his luggage on another flight, that he was carrying $7000 in cash even though he's been jobless, that in that luggage that he was putting on a different flight was going to be knives, boxcutters, watches taped together, cell phones taped to empty beverage bottles, you would immeaditely go to the police and report the guy as a terrorist. I mean this is a NO BRAINER people. And yet all of this happens, and our govt, our Fvcking govt that we elected, has the audacity to tell its citizens that "nope, no terrorists here!"

A cell phone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle. No, I am not a terrorist. I always tape a bottle of good old pepto to my cell just in case I or the cell gets airsick when I travel.

WTF is going on in this country? A muslim sympthizer for a president. Wanting to build a mosque just feet away from 9/11, endless wars that serve no purpose, bailing out bankers and the elite while leaving millions homeless.
And the sad thing is, most people just dont care. They care about getting laid, or high, or making a quick buck.

It's just all so sad.

This is why they run the country and you dont.

You are critisizing your government from your computer. What do you want them to say? Of course they are pushing the story down and trying to keep it quiet, it's the only thing to do.

Simple minded people will always complain.

It's the only thing to do? Tell me, did you grow up in the Communist Soviet Union where you are expected to believe everything you were told and to behave like a good little boy?

Are you an idiot? I ask that in all seriousness. Do you have one brain cell in that head of yours? It's the exact opposite clown. Those who are simple minded accept whatever garbage and slop the powers that be throw on them and say, "yes please, may I have another". It's those with the brainpower, and the willpower, to ask serious questions and to not accept the status quo that are the true pioneers of this country.

You seriously believe that two muslim guys, just HAPPENED to BOTH change flights, but leave their luggage on another flight mind you, and that this luggage just HAPPENED to contain knives, box cutters, watches taped together, and cell phones taped to bottles of liquid. Kinda sounds like a trial run for a bomb doesn't it??? And I can tell you from reading responses to this story that 99.999999% of the people in this country know what this story is, and that is straight up Bvll Sh!t.

Seriously, you may have single handily taken honors for the single most idiotic post I have ever seen on this board, and trust me, THAT is saying something. Go drink some more kool aid.
