I am NOT trying to make an insulting comment; it is just an observation I can't help but not notice.

I work where I have alot of contact with Orthodox Jews and I noticed one thing that blows my mind:

Never have I seen such a disparity in physical attractiveness levels between Orthodox Jewish men and women than I have in any other ethnic, religious group.

Most of the women are physically fit and have good facial balance. I would estimate 75% of the Orthodox Jewish women I see, are on the physically attractive side.

The men however, are disgusting and it has NOTHING to do with how they dress or the facial hair.

Many of them walk around with their guts hanging out and ALOT of them just have poor to very average facial aesthetics.

I think I have only seen a very small percentage of Orthodox jewish men that would be considered good looking; while plenty of the women are good looking.

Lol. I see you've been looking at a few skirts lately...

Not to generalize, but a good portion of orthodox jews are very active religiously. This means that if one lives in the city they will have less time to focus on 'appearance' and will focus more on either their religion, family, or business matters.

Besides, while most orthodox men get married by the time they are 21, who needs to focus on appearance, since divorce is very rare within jewish circles. So even if you've got an hb9.18, you barely have to worry about infidelity in these cases.

Well in Orthadox Jewish religion the wife has to cut her long hair and wear a wig plus she is forbidden to even shake another man's hand as well she cannot wear anything sexy in public so the buffers are all in place. Also those religious communities tend to be big on seperating women and men activities all together.

I have noticed this too, but more in reform/reconstructionist Jewish congregations. I'm a non-practicing Jew who was part of a reform congregation.

Yes, a lot of the guys are a bit plain looking, most are short by heritage, many tend to go bald, but have too much body hair. I'm not the best looking guy by any means, but I was considered one of the pretty cute guys where I went. I'm half Scottish and mostly picked up on those physical traits, although I do have too much hair, but I trim it up neatly.

As far as the girls go, when I was younger & went to services I would sit there with a raging hard-on most of the time. There was no shortage of HB8's, 9's, and even 9.5's where I went. A lot of these girls tend to date outside their religion, but most Jewish parents disapprove of that, so they sometimes tend to settle for a more average Jewish guy.
