If you're the kind of person who makes the best of all opportunities presented in all areas of life, you're already ahead of the crowd. If not, i suggest you start because life's too damn short to hesitate. Either way, making the best of opportunities is good, but creating your own opportunities is even better! Take a situation, in this case presumably involving a girl, and turn it into one where you can approach her and be successfull.
Example. I wanted to play tennis today, but one of my partners is a lazy bum (you know you are Mike!
), and the other hasn't strung his racket yet. So i head out to the courts solo, with the intention of practicing on the wall for a bit. Behond, a cute asian girl is sitting by the courts all alone and watching people play. So of course, i start talking to her and it turns out she sprained her ankle. So after a few minutes of talking, i ask to borrow her racket, which i give to one of the other spectators who wanted to play but didn't have one.
After about 45 minutes, she had to leave, so i got her digits and said i'll call her out for a game one of these days. Got the guy's too, and went to practice on the wall for another half-hour. So there, instead of staying home, i had a great time and found two new tennis partners. An opportunity to play tennis wasn't presented to me today. No one wanted to play. So i created it by going solo. Witness the results.
