"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Hello, everyone.

I went sarging or well, more like I went to the bar last night to hang out with my friend and maybe meet some other friends of mine. However, I'm still having troubles just starting conversations with girls. I mean I can open by simply saying "Hi, my name is xxx" Which may work sometime but if they're already engaged in conversation or interested in something else you have to do something to "create value" as Style puts it.

So I'm wondering if there is any basic opener's that can be used almost anywhere and reliable methods to create value or keep the women interested in you.

BTW, I do use one "female opinion" opener tonight and this is something that has actually made me a few friends in the past but I'm not sure if it made the difference or if I could've used anything.
Regardless, the opener is
Excuse, could I get a female opinion on something. I'm debating whether to get contacts or perhaps laser surgery but my friend thinks I should keep my glasses. So tell me, do you think I would look better with or without glasses."
Now, I used this about 12 different times and got a variety of results, most girls said I would look better without glasses, some said I had pretty eyes or some compliment, others said keep them or do whatever you want.
I only approached one 2 set with this question and one pretty much ignored me while the other gave me a super-detailed background about the choices of Contact lens vs Lasik and wow! she talked a lot..I didn't mind though, I actually learned something which was unexpected.

Anyways. I would love to hear what openings and keeping the conversationg flowing ideas you guys have and if there is another thread that covers this already let me know. I did a search and didn't find much.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

You’re doing just fine. Your post makes it sound as though you have the openers working quite well for you. You just don’t know what to do after that, right? Remember that openers are just for opening. You demonstrate your higher value in what you say after that. The response that you get to the opener doesn’t really mean much so long… so long as they don’t ask you to leave, throw a drink on you, or call the SWAT team.

I noticed that you kept telling us what sorts of responses you got from your opener. I think that’s part of your problem. You want to get a good reaction from your opener. Hence, you’re still looking for those women to validate you. Therefore, you’re still acting a little AFC. Again…the opener is only for opening. You tell a story, do some cold readings, or something else to create your value.

Since you mentioned Style, here’s one more little tip that I picked up from him: Always approach people (especially in bars and clubs) with higher energy than they are displaying. People go out to have a good time, and that’s what you should be doing too! You’re not going to make a strong connection with people, nor get that hookup, if you’re dragging them down.

You’re doing great. Keep working on your openers until you’re confident with them. Don’t look to anyone else to validate you. Use a cold reading after the opener to demonstrate higher value. Keep practicing and adding more to your game.

Oh, one more thing... if you really are 27... don't post in the high school forum. It's creepy. ;)

(See kids? This is what happens when you reply to a post you found via searching.)

Yeah, Azariah...sorry about that. It was an accident I meant to post in the regular forum but I thought my post didn't go through so I tried posting again and it somehow ended up here.
Anyways, thanks for the encouraging words of advice. Ironically enough most people in the regular DJ forum just acted like I was an idiot or to be creative. The strange thing is I'm usually pretty creative around people I know well. However, around strangers it seems my mind just goes blank and the only thing I can think to open with is the most basic "How ya doing?" and of course basic boring questions.
