"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I was on the net yesterday when my mom came and informed me that this adorable girl was downstairs at our house... again... for reasons I cannot fathom...

Lately, I've become a manipulator of emotions, so I didn't want to work my game, in fact, I'm trying to mellow my game out... bad move... I saw her and just went ahead to go into the kitchen to get my food, ignoring her completely...

"Hi, Justin."
"Hey"

I went to the freezer...

"Your hair's getting long..."

I smiled at her...

"...you need a haircut."

I laughed and walked over to the cabinets, making eye contact with her, as she spoke again...

"I just got my driver's license today..."
"...Yeah?"
"Mmm hmm..."

My mom came down...

"Fix you a plate."

I got a plate down, slowly closed the cabinets... didn't comprehend any small talk between her and my mom, until...

"Bye, Kate. Bye, Justin..."

Yeah, yeah, whatever...

Ten minutes later...

Kicking myself in the ass for not macking on her... now if I never see her again, I'll be VERY disappointed...

I really need to vent on this one, this is one hell of an infatuation, all it took was that brief encounter to make me psycho over her again... and I definitely need a girl who can make me feel this way with her mere presence... unfortunately, I may never see her again...

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Alright, here's the back story...

My mom runs an assisted living facility... like for the elderly... an in-home family sort of thing... and when I got in trouble and had to do community service, I worked here... at my own house. Well, our house got added to the list for community service locations, so this girl served her hours here in my house... well, she finished her hours a long time ago, and has since come back at least twice, just to visit? She's not "obviously interested" in me or anything, she's just really adorable and I'm tired of seeing her around here, I wish she would've just stayed away so I could sulk in peace, and eventually forget about her, but no, I have to deal with this ****... ah, well... I'll be calling her soon, I refuse to accept never seeing her again... I just hope it won't kill me in the long run...

so what would you say in this amazing phone call, assuming that's probably what I'll have to do... and what's the scene size-up(severity of the situation)?

This girl doesn't appear to have any interest in you other than politeness. Calling her will probably be considered weird by her, based on what you've said about the situation. Best thing you can do: forget about her, get your game to the point where you could get a girl interested in you if another situation like this happens, and use this as motivation not to "mellow your game out" (whatever that means).

That's all well and good, but... I'm not ready to give up on THIS girl yet... maybe if she directly tells me to **** off, but I'm not letting this go... I guess calling her would be weird, I'm better off waiting it out and hoping she shows up again, but I'm not letting this go, no sir... I don't even care how high her interest level is, as long as she wants to go out dancing with me... I'm whipped and I love it.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

thanks for your opinion and everything... but it's absolute ****... I don't settle for whatever girls I can get, I go for the ones I really want... and in this case, it's THIS one... funny how you say I will never get her, but what will happen if I forget about her? I will never get her, so what a big difference, eh?

Listen to yourself, man. You're not connecting the dots here, so let me do it for you: if she has no interest in you, she won't want to go dancing with you. She'll probably never tell you to fcuk off because she's nice. But she'll leave you hanging while you invest loads of time in this dead-end scheme.

There are over three billion women in this world... until you have serious, complicated and reciprocated reasons for being so into a girl, make sure you never forget that fact.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Alright, I feel you on that one... I won't forget that... but damn if any other girl I've ever met can make me get all these emotions going... not that I have my hopes pinned on this girl, I just can't help but pursue... I can take rejection, I can laugh at her ignoring me because she's trying to be "nice" and I can be "friends" without losing my ego... because I have no ego... nothing can shake me, unless I find something out about her that just makes me hate her, in which case I still wouldn't feel comfortable backing down, as I feel obligated to do something here... you know, a calling... so what applies to some of you guys might not apply to me... I'm definitely not going to call her... but I can't stand this... haha... yes, it feels wonderful... I don't know, maybe she'll be back... in which case I won't dare hesitate... and I might even call her phone if I still can't stand it months from now... but that would certainly require some planning ahead... but yes, it's definitely an option...

I just found out... she lives in my neighborhood... my most reliable source knows exactly where she lives... which changes things drastically... a bit intrusive to show up at her door, but like I give a sh*t...
