Only asks me out for drinks

OK, this guy had been flirting with me for several months whenever I'd see him out. (Long stares, smiles, etc..) I finally gave him my number and we have met each other three times at a bar. We chat for about three hours and then he leaves around 12- 1 am. He walks me to my car, acts like a gentlman, and then leaves. It's weird, he told me he thinks Im very attractive but wont make any real moves on me and wont tell me when hell see me next. He just emailed me saying he is going away on business for a month and asked to "take me out for a drink." before he leaves. Once again, he did no ask me to dinner. Is this weird? This guy is not shy, he'd blatantly smile at me all the time before we actually talked and has no problems asking for a hug when we meet, putting his hand on my back, etc.. But yet he doesnt appear to be looking for a physical fling as well... Is he even interested?

Look at the clues and the patterns, always the same. Its obvious he's one of those 18th century ghosts.

Up the flirting next time you two go for drinks, no panties perhaps? AFC's tend to need a little push. No dinner invitation? impressive, could be hope for this guy.

Well there are two scenarios.

One is that he's shy or not very experienced with women. That's still a possibility. I remember in my early 20's that a girl need to just about rape me since I wouldn't make the next move.

The other option is that maybe he has a girlfriend or is married already and is feeling a bit guilty about escalating. That's not quite as likely but still a possibility.
