online date venue?

Anyone have a theory for what kinds of bars/restaurants to take girls to in online dating land? Unfortunately (or fortunately, for me) I usually tend to go to high end places, but I don't want to give these girls the wrong idea that I am chasing them.

Is it alright to go somewhere nice off the bat, even if just for a drink? Or will this make me seem more obtainable and overeager (I'm not).

Go to a bar that's chilled or a bit different.

For example there is a place near mean called Venn Street Records that has Pizza etc and it's really hip but not overcrowded and laid back.

High end is the wrong choice.

Ruby Tuesday and Olive Garden have worked out alright for me. I wouldn't overthink it, though. The important thing is just to pick a place that you're kinda in the mood for.
