One girls concept of "taking a break"

Had a couple beers with a few friends yesterday. This one girl was talking about how she met this guy who she thinks might be her "soul mate" but he's kinda chubby and you know, has a boyfriend that she likes for the most part. Other girl comments "Why don't you just go on a break with your boyfriend and date this new guy for a bit to see what he's like."

Mind blown. I had to explain to the girl with the boyfriend that if she has enough doubt about her current boyfriend that she's looking for other options she should break up with him. And to the other girl that a "break" is not hall pass to go bang other people, thats a break up. A break is to reel yourself back in, to make sure you haven't lost your sense of self in a relationship.

That's very true, but at the same time too, the girl in question can go forward with her plan and it can definitely backfire. With her mentality, she thinks that her boyfriend will just wait for her... Branch swinging at it's finest

So I can definitely see a scenario where she goes to see if the grass is greener, only to realise that it's not. Then her boyfriend might just not want her back, especially if he's reading the forum.

Anyways that relationship is pretty much doom at this point....

b) Long pause, dumbfounded, staring-off-into-space look as hamster spins itself into a blur - "Yeah, I guess you're right...", only for the hamster to get them back in touch with their feels later in the night. New perspective discarded..

Make no mistake about it, she will figure out a way to play this so she get the best of both worlds. And, she will justify it. One of two said men will give her the best d|ck, while the other will give her other resources. More then likely the chubby guy will be the resources, and the BF will be the d|ck. Chubby guy probably has a good job, vehicle, finances, etc. while the BF is probably a borderline alpha badboy who can't buy her what she wants and who has let his frame slip enough to compel her to look at other options.
