Alright, im in my last year of highschool, and i feel liek i dont have the respect i deserve, people are disrespecting me, and i dont know how to handle it....like their just kidding around, but if i do nothing, i look like a B*tch, and if i react, i over react and look like a tweaker. My girl sometimes gets snappy with me in front of people and i dont know how to react to that either, this has been a pretty big problem in my life. i know that you cant just "get" respect, it has to be earned, but what eh hell do i have to do to earn it? fight someone? like crap thats what it seems like it has to come down to. please help me out you guys always have some good advice. i need to earn some respect!!!!!

Nobody DESERVES any respect. That's the kind of mentality that will make people think you're a total *******. People will only respect you if you respect them. Show some reverence, and don't be too egotistic. Listen to people and try not to joke around too much, but NEVER let anybody run you over. There's no real EARNING respect; it's more like MUTUALIZING.

If people start ragging on you, it just turn it into a joke. Othe people can only make you feel bad if you let them. If they're joking, kid them back. Make FUNNY comebacks and don't let them get to you. Make conversations fun, and if they disrespect you, just bounce it off with humor
