Lolo Jones, 39, tearfully shares why she's decided to start the IVF process: 'I'm running out of time to start a family'

The Olympian said she's tired of "waiting" for a husband in order to have a baby — so she's taking it into her own hands.

In a video she posted of the process, she tearfully explained how she wants "a family," but has spent years waiting for a husband to begin that journey. Now that she's turning 40 on August 5, Jones said she's taking the process into her own hands and beginning the first steps of the in vitro fertilization process, which includes freezing her eggs. That includes giving herself routine hormone injections and going to doctor's appointments to make sure she can proceed

"Terrified. 15 days before I turned 40," she wrote in her Instagram caption. "Nothing has scared me more than feeling like I'm running out of time to have a family. I originally wanted to freeze my eggs when I was in my early 30's. I just kept thinking I will meet my husband and things will all work out. Well here I am almost 10 years later and it hasn't."

Lolo Jones is a bit of a sad case. She hasn't been a carousel rider. I think she deserves some credit for that. With that said, she has never been able to find a extended relationship. One would have thought she would have found a husband through some sort of church-related activity at least 15 years ago with her attitudes on sex.

Likely an attachment style disorder that prevented her from bonding with anyone.

Hypergamy is women's greatest weakness, they never date down. She couldn't find an Olympic athlete above her level that wanted to settle with her.

At her age, no athlete is going to settle for her when they can date younger better looking women.

She will die alone

A healthy woman can control hypergamy with other integrations, but someone like her who is "too picky" is just developing emotional barriers to self sabotage and embracing hypergamy fully, most likely.

All of us have probably seen women who sit out on apps for years. The difference between those women and Lolo Jones is that those women turn down hundreds if not thousands of men but manage to have sex with 15 men in a 5 year period without a committed relationship.
