"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I recieve David DeAngelo's newsletter everyweek and I own his books... This weeks newsletter spoke of a 'SECRET EXCUSE' that we all carry around to use whenever we don't want to face reality; when we don't want to do something.

I came up with one instance/problem in my life that actually has been affecting me for such a long time. ** I am looking for some advice or support on how to get over this **

Here is the situation anywho:
A year or two ago this really hot girl who was a freshmen had a crush on me (lucky me, huh?). But, days later her friend(s) told her she could 'do better'. She decided she didn't like me anymore or something. Thus, ever since then I've been afraid of asking someone out because if she says yes-- her friends will say **** about me being a looser or something.

This is not to say I haven't asked anyone out, but I do use it as an excuse often without even thinking about what happend. Got any advice? :)

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Just spit your game and do your thang...

If you can "win her over" or however you want to say it.

No amount of complaining by her friends or her family will do any good.

I think David DeAngelo talks about this in his book...

oh getting emotional now are we..

yea that sucks since her friends are suppose to social proof u ---

perhaps try to befriend her friends?

man i can tell ur inexperienced since your so scared of that one rejection

yea i know its tough...but there is no better solution den bashing ur head into the wall and telling urself that what happend is history and u should move on...

or u can still try to befriend her friends in a non desperate way to hook up with the girl.

Don't think, do. Train yourself to believe that that's insignificant, because it is, and it's the only thing holding you back.
